First time going to the hotel. Going for a friend's birthday. Any tips on the best restaurants? How's the club? Is there a racebook? How's the poker room?
Anybody with a review would be appreciated...

#4 Posted: 7/11/2012 3:42:39 PM No smoking, and the place is too spread out. They've even said it's not built for gamblers, it's for people who want to have "an experience." Since I could give two shits about shopping or seeing flowers when I'm in a casino, it's not for me.
There is a Village Whiskey in there, though. |

It, like the Trop and Harrahs pool deal, do draw the younger broad crowd. But when i want to get sweaty and get down to business gambling, i head to the Asian poker rooms, you can smoke in those

#8 Posted: 7/11/2012 5:45:31 PM The restaurant 'One' was excellent. Get the filet and crab meat, won't be disappointed. I did have about 5 or 6 $16 drinks though.

#15 Posted: 7/12/2012 12:07:57 PM They better start giving away rooms fast! Was comped a room at Harrah's on a Wed night and the place was packed.. cruised over to Revel and it was all crickets and tumbleweeds.. Finding the poker room was a hassle as it's pretty much hidden on the second floor and not easy to get too for those unfamiliar with the casino |

You were there on a Wednesday. The hotel is completely booked this weekend.

#17 Posted: 7/12/2012 6:56:18 PM Revel is very nice. I was there about a month ago. As said above, bathrooms are hard to find, It is very spread out..not necessarily a negative.
Lots of places to "get lost" if you want, especially the further upstairs you head. Some nice spots overlooking the beach. Not sure of the outdoor club is open yet.
The pool at harrahs is great, but only on Saturday. Friday not so much. Go to Mur Mur Id say, although there are probably other options.
I will be at the Borgata tomorrow myself.

Even with its newest gleaming casino bringing in more money, Atlantic City's lengthy losing streak stretched into July.
The city's casinos won $308.2 million from gamblers in
July, down 9.5 percent from a year ago, according to a monthly revenue
report issued Friday by the state Division of Gaming Enforcement.
The month continues a losing streak that began after the first casino in Pennsylvania opened in November 2006.
The slide continued even as Revel, a casino that opened
with much fanfare in April, boosted its month-to-month revenues. The
newest gambling hall brought in $17.5 million from table games and slot
machines in July — up from $14.9 million in June. link
----------------------------------------
The $17.5 million that Revel generated from its slot machines and
table games was just a tad better than the $14.9 million it made in June
- but still significantly below the $25 million to $30 million that
Wall Street projected it needs to stay solvent and pay its bonds.
"We had expected them to do significantly better in July given it was
one of the strongest seasonal months," said gaming analysts John Kempf
of RBC Capital Markets L.L.C. on Friday.
To put it in context, market leading Borgata generated $54 million
last month - triple Revel's figure. Borgata opened at a cost of $1.1
billion in the city's Marina District in July 2003.

Wondering the same thing. Gonna be there Labor Day Weekend for two nights with my entire crew past and present for my boy's bachelor party. Lot of garbage going on, but someone mentioned POOL BAR with cabanas Saturday night and that sounds fantastic.
