0715: Waffles for the boys. Coffee for me. Sportscenter.
0800: Shower
0815: Xbox with the boys
0945: Out the door to the metro.
1100: In seats at the Nats-Giants game
1600: Return to the house with the family
1615-1730: Nap time for the boys. I went down the straight and bought some fireworks
1815: Fire up grill, burgers and steaks. Cold beer.
1930: Pool for an hour.
2030: Fireworks out in the front. Kids loved it. Wish I had bought more. Next year.
All in all, a great day. Wish the Mets had beaten Philly but whatever. Wife wanted to watch fireworks downtown DC but I told her it's probably almost as bad as watching New Years Eve in Times Square.

Crossfit WOD, Lunch down in Manayunk at JD's, watched tv at gf's house, then home latenight played some xbox360 (fucking ncaa 13 demo) overall decent day but hot as hell outside. Bet one baseball game- Astros/Pirates under and was happy as hell it hit, it dug me out of a hole. Todays bet on Brewers/Marlins under 9 completed my dig out now Im back to square 1 for the week.

Don't know about the Elks. I wasn't a member until a few years ago. I'm into golf, and these guys I knew from the bar invited me. Two of the guys run the golf tournaments and marshal at the local golf course. We are always first off the tee every Saturday morning. Makes for a calm Friday night, but it's worth it. We are often done under four hours. We usually have 4-8 guys show up. Afterwards, we settle up at the Moose Lodge. I wasn't a member, but it was suggested to me that I join. Glad I did. Moose supports Moosehaven and Mooseheart-helping kids that are in a bad way, and a senior living center. I've cooked, cleaned, and delivered Meals On Wheels. Our lodge has its own bar, and we serve the community. After golfing with my fellow Moose brothers Saturday, we have a co-ed 9 hole this Sunday. There are actual member discounts on stuff (kind of like AAA), but the main thing is you meet people that think about other people.

Civic organizations are great. It's a simple way to meet new friends, have a good time, do a little business networking, but most of all is what you said. All of these clubs have their local communities welfare in mind. Not on a grand worldwide scale ala the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, but on a very personal level which really has more impact.Bravo to you and your fellow Moose.

Pretty simple brother. When I see a thread that does not interest me, I don't go back to it.
The responses I got from guys I enjoy seeing on here like Hawk and Messier are responses that I found interesting. I enjoy the laid-back dialogue. Sorry you do not feel the same way

I've been to Vegas 4 times. Had to crawl to the airport every time. That's why I don't go much.
Lol yeah man...I don't think I'll be back for quite a while!!! That plane ride really sucks if you have to crawl to the airport Haha fun time, but damn....those trips can get pricey especially if the cards aren't running in your favor! Still a fun trip though...
