#9 Posted: 7/4/2012 11:35:15 PM Contrary to popular belief Nicolas Cage is a GREAT actor
And if you havent seen Matchstick men go and see that movie.
Its about 2 con artists who get into some trouble while trying to carry out their big plan. Very entertaining

#12 Posted: 7/5/2012 12:19:31 AM Matchstick men was quite good, ill second that one.... Lord Of War is another fantastic Cage movie and I hear Adaptation is also pretty good too.....but i havent seen that yet,,,. its in the pile of what to watch
it really depends what you like. i usually delete movies ive seen to free up space for new stuff (not running out of room per se but just a habit). theres a handful of movies i wont delete; a few...
-True Romance -King of New York -Deer Hunter (if you have like 3+ hours and insomnia) -Memento
also, Im a huge Michael Douglas fan, so a bit of bias, but: -Falling Down -China Syndrome -The Sentinel
very little respect, but quality flicks
I know its not technically a movie, but if you havent seen it, the Band Of Brothers TV series is absolutely stellar. I think there was like 8 or so episodes but it plays like one huge movie and is top quality stuff. Should be required viewing by everyone

#13 Posted: 7/5/2012 12:33:45 AM Rounders, Touching the Void, Garden State, Being John Malkovich (Charlie Kaufman's a genius - wrote Adaptation, too. Good movie, switchwalk), Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums.... |

#14 Posted: 7/5/2012 12:56:18 AM Old school Adam Sandler movies (Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore) are always fun to watch if you enjoy smoking a little weed.

Skip Winston should have earned an Academy Award with his portrayal of The White Trash Piece of garbage. |

#19 Posted: 7/5/2012 11:54:31 AM thanks for all the suggestions guys. I just watched boiler room two nights ago and I liked it a lot. I have also seen momento which is an incredibly good movie. A lot of good suggestions, but I think I am going to try out matchstick men. |

#21 Posted: 7/5/2012 12:52:22 PM Many good suggestions on here. See if you can find a film called the Parallax View. Speaking of Warren Beaty, McCabe and Mrs. Miller is very good as well. Two films most people haven't seen. |

#23 Posted: 7/5/2012 1:39:39 PM Matchstick men is good..Along the lines of con artist flicks,Grifters is good and an old timer w/George.C.Scott, Flim Flam Man.
3000 miles to graceland was pretty good also.
If you really want to go off the rails, watch some W.C.Fields and Marx Bros flicks and also Bogart..Casablanca is enough said. |

#25 Posted: 7/5/2012 2:30:29 PM Agree with Slob. Boiler Room is great. So is Matchstick Men. Not a huge fan of Nic Cage, but there are a few movies that he's excellent in. That's one of them. |
