It's very true.
I didn't understand how some of the athletes could blow that amount of money, and to be quite honest, I'm still not sure I understand. That being said, I saw an interview with Mike Tyson talking about his financial problems, and his mentality, and it was pretty interesting actually.

And many ended up making and spending what would you would make in 100+ lifetimes just based off pure athletic talent. Want some fries with that? |

Nice quote. Makes us all feel warm and fuzzy inside...
Now go tell that quote to the child born with cerebral palsy or any other disorder that would limit his/her opportunity or even shorten his/her life. |

#13 Posted: 4/10/2012 4:44:05 PM ya that quote blows. I'd gladly being a celebrity super star ball player who lived it up for the first 40 years of his life and then went broke. Those guys had 40 years of life most could only dream of when they buy their megamilion tickets. |

Everybody cant be perfect like you.
And that athletic "talent" you refer to is called genetics. The original poster is saying they are too stupid to run a cash register or make a cheeseburger.
Pretty sure that kid with cerebal palsy has got more common sense and street smarts than you Scal. |

Allen Iverson is PAID.
He has 32 mil still in a trust that he can't touch till he turns like 50 or something, which is soon.

You took the quote out of context. You find the deepest darkest POV to justify your comments. You may have had a harsh upbringing but don't let that create your reality

If you don't think being a pro athlete is takes insane amount of hard work, you have been severely misled. Why else do you think that less than 1% of the population becomes Pro athletes?
A lot is god given talent, but that isn't nearly enough. Being a pro athlete is harder than you could ever imagine, just sayin. |
