I don't think so either.  She's just enjoying all the attention.  Oh, to be a fly on the wall in that McDonald's break room.

Sounds like she might not even have the winning ticket.

What kind of idiot buys tickets for a pool and then doesn't share the numbers with everyone before the drawing.  And if you're going to personally buy tickets for yourself, you tell everyone ahead of time so there are no questions.

I'd bet a good amount of money she didn't even win.

even if she is telling the truth she could throw a mil their way no problem. What  a monster. She looks the part too.

She's going to lose 2/3 of that money and a hell of lot of money in lawyer's fees (which unfortunately will make it worth this try to spin a story given the amount that she won).

The "I bought their tickets but purchased more for myself separately and that's the one that won" has consistently lost in court time and time again. It'll happen again only to cause a lot of pain and misery for these two guys (if the ticket even exists) while they earn $7 an hour in the meantime.

i'm sure she's under camera surveillance at 7-11 where she bought the ticket.  Videos will solve every crime or at least bring some evidence to the big picture.

Would have been cool if she had said "I bought the winning ticket separately but I can't prove it so I will share the money.." Would make everybody happy.
This way nobody will be happy. Not her, karma is a real girl in these situations (just look at all the lotto milionaires who fucked up their lives after they won).

"37 yr old single mother of 7".  Sounds like she has a habit of making bad decisions.......just add the way she bought these tickets to her list.

I am pretty sure a majority of lotto winners end up in a worse financial situation than they were before winning. They just dont understand things about taxes and insurance and other hidden costs that go along with their spending sprees.

Are people at McDonalds THAT incompetent they couldn't pick numbers...or ask for a 'quick pick'???  It's not like she was the only one of age, doing it for some minors.  I mean, what made her THE ONE who had to do it for them; especially for a second time!

Seems to me, maybe THIS was her "karma" for something else she had already done (assuming it's a winning ticket).  But I'm no one to really say...Afterall, I could easily say 'deport the frickin Haitian immigrant'  or 'lets just see...'.

I just find it funnier than anything; people "pooling" together...for a friggin $1 play.  Not a $500-per-ticket raffle for a boat.  If the case was, they POOLED together to buy a racehorse or fund a trip...anything but contributing all the same amount ($5)...then maybe it would make more sense.  Who knows, maybe they used the change out of the Ronald McDonald donation bins @ the registers?
