#51 Posted: 3/2/2012 7:07:45 PM five guys
Before I started my own business, my boss and I used to eat at Red Robin once a week for our team meeting or our supervisors meeting...
and between the two of us had every burger on the menu...
It was good enough and pretty filling and when I had lunch there I was good till like 8pm... when I eat five guys , while a better burger I dont seem to stay full as long...

#61 Posted: 3/22/2012 11:26:46 PM 5 Guys Burgers is my all time fave.
Here in SW FL we have a Cheeburger Cheeburger on Sanibel Island - the burgers are pretty good. Years ago I had the 1 Pound Monster Burger - it was crazy.
We also have Steak and Shakes in Cape Coral and in Fort Myers - they are pretty good for a " chain " type restaurant. |

#63 Posted: 4/27/2012 4:06:48 PM Whataburger is allright, decent burger a bit pricy though IMO. Love their onion rings and the breakfast menu is all the way legit too. It's about all we have here unfortunately (outside the standard McShittles, Burger Crap and Shitty's in garbage nowhere Texas.) Dairy Queen isn't half bad I guess, SONIC not my forte....trying to think of others.
Not a burger joint but Weinerschnitzel is a really solid hot dog chain. Really good chili cheese dogs, chili cheese fries aren't bad either...
Seriously though NO - Hardees, Rally's, In&Out, 5 guys, Red Robin, Fuddruckers, White Castle, Carl's Jr, I mean the list goes on and on. Damn good Mexican and BBQ joints here though... |

#65 Posted: 4/29/2012 12:29:32 AM Hawk, IMO - INO kills Whataburger. Wendy's new burgers are much better than the shoe leather they've been selling for the past 25 years.
Prior to 1987, Wendy's burgers were incredible. They found a way to darn them up, which is amazing. They were perfect. I'd pay $20 for the same burger from back then. I went in one in Phoenix on Thursday and it was good for a change. I'll have to try again and make sure it wasn't a fluke. |

Wendy's is always awesome.
Lately it has been the "Jumbaco, Jumbaco" place. |

Whataburger is very solid...awesome onion rings and awesome taquitos at breakfast but yes, a little pricey.
Not a Carl's Jr. around you? That is the same thing....also, there a Fuddruckers all around Houston (not sure where you are)
Sonic is okay, but I would rather get a footlong coney from Sonic with chili, cheese, onions, and mustard anyway over ANYTHING they offer at Weinerschnitzel....I think that place is AWFUL.
Houston had some GREAT Mexican food joints.....puts every other place I have been to maybe other than San Antonio. Also, solid bbq joints for sure, beef of course in Texas
Sonic burgers aren't too terrible...in San Marcos where I went to college the Sonic on Tuesdays had buy 1 get 1 free Sonic burgers! Yea buddy |

#69 Posted: 4/29/2012 3:37:26 PM West TX, yeehaw (much much sarcasm, lol)
roughly 100,000 here but nothing really around for 2 hours in either direction. 3 hrs to Austin, San Antonio and 4/4.5 to Dallas so it's not all bad.
Trying to cut out the fast food, or at least thinking about trying it but it's pretty difficult when it's mostly all that's out there. Few really good burrito joints here though, BBQ too of course. |

#71 Posted: 4/29/2012 10:11:22 PM 1. Elevation Burger - Organic grass-fed, free range beef burgers make a difference. Leaner and healthier than your average grain-fed, burger. I enjoy their "Half the guilt" which is a beef and veggie double stack. You're going to pay a little more here but it's well worth it. Locations from VA to NY, FL, TX and Cali.
2. Five guys - Greasy but tasty.
3. Cheeburger-Cheeburger - haven't tried it, but it's on my list to try. |
