Just a random thought but anyone who's played will relate.

1.  Contra's U,U,D,D,L etc to get 30 free men

2.  Super mario brothers where you could get fireballs while small (jumping on edge of dragons nose on an -4 levels)

3.  There was one in 10 yard fight and techmo bowl (you could score in your own end zone)

4.  And I think there was one in Ikari Warriors

Anywho - just my random thought for day and biggest dissapointment was that I never beat Zelda

And fave game of all time - RBI baseball

Punch Out, Contra, Mega Man 2, and Goal were my favorites.

Is that the code to get straight to Tyson?  Who was your toughest opponent other than Tyson?  Bald bull used to tax me after not playing for a while.

I liked "Ice Hockey" better - where you could set your line-up with small, medium or fat guys.

"With the pass"

Penalty shots in that game were exciting for its time, although I barely succeeded w/ them.

Baseball Stars, Tecmo Bowl, Ivan Stewart's Off Road, Super Sprint and Dodge Ball were my favorite games.  They bring back a lot of old memories.

My favorite memory from Blades of Steel was the fighting -- first game that I remember specifically running around looking to check guys in hopes of starting brawls

Loved this game too - always played with Redwings.  2 scorers and Probert to fight anyone willing to step up.

I remember gambling on Ice hockey... I like two big and two medium... I thought the fast skiny guys were wimps and hard to control...

But the game I gambled the most on was....

tecmo superbowl... first real NFL game...

my NES was simply a tecmo superbowl machine for years...  as for cheats in that game...

1.  the nose guard diving on the snap
2. a few hot routes on the blitz that werent quite 100% but were pretty close

Jelax you avatar is RBI baseball... I believe the original... cheats on that..

1. the knuckle sinker... wasnt quite cheating but you basically had to either gamble that it hitable or in the dirt....

2. when pitching you get the batter move away from the plate with and inside pitch and then throw and outside pitch that the cpu could not catch up to...

That's a different game.  Ice Hockey used International teams (USA, Sweden, Canada, etc)

Contra may have been the hardest game of all time to complete without that code on just three lives.

On two player mode it wasn't so bad.  If I used laser and my friend used spread it was game over.

First baseball game that I could remember that tracked and saved season statistics.
