Israel does have the capability however you're right the U.S. cant afford another war financially, Plus It may not get the public backing that the Iraq and Afghanistan wars did. |

Thorpe being naive gets you no where. Do you know where the top technology of our world comes out of ? They are years ahead of everyone as far as tech goes. Israel could wipe that country in very short time. Though I don't believe that is their goal. They will destroy any sites capable of nuclear production. What Israel must prepare for is the insane muslims who will use any excuse to attack. |

Without using nukes, there is very little damage that Israel can do to Iran. Israel does not have an aircraft carrier, so their planes would have to fly 1000 miles each way to get to Iran and back to Israel. They could refuel in midair but even with that the payloads they can carry are not going to be that large. It is possible that Israel does this, but I responding to an allegation that Israel would wipe Iran off the map, and to do that properly they would need to park aircraft carriers off the coast of Iran.
You call the Muslims insane, but it is the white people who have been starting 99% of wars since WWI.

The difference is that the US's allies were already at war in 1916. FDR also ran as a peace president in 1940, but again the US allies were already at war.

Because, surprisingly, Israel does still SLIGHTLY care about world opinion. If they didn't, they'd just bomb the country to smithereens in mass indiscriminate destruction. But that doesn't bode well for PR purposes.

I've personally had it with them and their selfish ways for years. We have to provide them with a wet nurse and a hug for eternity thanks to Henry. Brilliant man but that particular policy is a real ball an chain. |

We were a very non interventionist country before both WWs. The lusitania and pearl harbor got us in both times. In WW1, certain banks held a large amount of British war bonds that would have been worthless had they lost...hence the Lusitania was sent into German U-boat territory with civilians.
Gulf of Tonkin, bay of pigs....false flags or "set ups" have gotten us into a lot of problems. War is big business for those who finance the winning side |

Germany and Japan were allies. Germans had no option other than to decalre war on the United States. But we know that part.

It would be interesting to see if the U.S. let Israel set up shop at one of our many bases surrounding Iran. That would eliminate a lot of that distance flying to Iran. |
