#1 Posted: 2/20/2012 1:48:29 AM I was parking the other day and I misread the angle and caused a tiny dent and some paint on this guy's station wagon.
No-one was around and it didnt make a big noise so I could easily have just driven off but i decided to wait and was writing out a note to put on the guy's car when he came out with his wife, korean guy, thanked me for being honest.
I told my buddies and some of them said they wouldnt have stuck around, what would u guys have done, I'm a big believer in karma, if I had made like a tree, someone would have done this to me.
got a pretty good driving record so if there is an insurance increase, should be small |

Same thing happened to me a while back. The other guy shook my hand for being honest and told me not to worry about it.
Don't darn with karma.

I have learned to say darn Karma. Seems like "doing the right thing" means relying on the other guy not being a person and seeing the situation as a payday.
Doing the right thing has gotten me fucked enough times that I no longer care.

#8 Posted: 2/20/2012 9:57:14 AM Very cool that you did the right thing.
Sure, the guy may just pocket the insurance money but that's his decision. He didn't ask anyone to damage his rig........it just happened. I pocketed cash once after getting hit........didn't make sense to spend it on the repairs since it had no effect on the drivability of my car. |

#13 Posted: 2/20/2012 12:28:02 PM OK, Rostos, let's see if you can connect these dots:
1. You state that murder is morally wrong according to God.
2. Thus, killing yourself is morally wrong.
3. You also state that God will forgive you sins if you believe in him. Thus, He would forgive your sin if you killed yourself and let you into heaven, correct? If you truly believed in him, he would have to forgive you, right?
4. Thus, the true believer who kills himself goes right to heaven.
How can you say a behavior is morally wrong but at the same time the being who will judge that person has the ability to forgive said behavior?
All you are saying is that there are no consequences as long as you believe. Is that part of the sacrifice you're referring to when you say you live by God's laws? |

#21 Posted: 2/22/2012 3:23:15 PM one morning I came out and was a note on my car because someone hit my car and left a scratch. He apologized on the note and said he will pay for it to be fixed and left his #... I never called the guy, I was just glad to see there are honest people out there |
