After Irene came through Connecticut this storm Albert has put the hurricane to shame.  I live in the Connecticut valley Northcentral area and we got hit hard.  Tons of trees down along with structural damages and downed power lines.  We got lucky here with the hurricane not doing much damage but not this time around.  The tornado in Western Mass and northern Ct did a lot of damage too but this is very widespread.  Around 800,000 people without power in Ct. It is times like this where you really appreciate things like hot water and electricity.  We found a hotel to stay in for a few days.  I am hoping for power to be restored by tomorrow or wednesday.  I will be watching the Chargers Chiefs game tonight with my fingers crossed but with no wager placed.  Wish us up in the Northeast good luck with this mess because we could use it.  We will be recieving a lot of help from neighboring states and federal aid to restore power.  Anyway, covers brothers Happy Halloween enjoy the game tonight and enjoy the fact that you have electricity, heat, etc.  Oh yeah and its time to buy a generator anyone know of any reasonably priced and powerful generators.

Downed trees and wires all over the place .What a mess !!
Getting gas is quite a nightmare. I thought some of these gas stations would have back up generators by now. Guess not.Thank goodness I was lucky to fill up today in East Hampton.Long lines and short tempers in most places.
Also I hear places down by the shore are fine.Wallingford was spared too.

still no power.  people really act like fool in situations like this especially ath the gas pump.  as if it werent bad enough people have to pile it on by being rude and impatient.  ifear the day something on a larger scale effects a larger portion of our country.  tough times show what people are made of and it seems that people from connecticut turn into over entitled pricks.  i could go on with a few stories but it would take to long to write.  anyway grateful to get gas find a place with heat and get some prescriptions filled at a pharmacy out of town.  just recovering from mono.  peace guys

Right now I am staying at my aunt's while they are away in California.  Luckily, and i don't know how they managed to maintain power.  They live in South Windsor Ct.  Things have been very vague as Malloy has not really given the public any real indication as to when power will be restored.  Connecticut light and power hopes to have things up and running by Sunday.  Damn right they better get it done by Sunday at 1pm lol.
