I've read several discussions and I found that one in particular was missing. Here is where I ask the covers community to share their story on their biggest win.
I'm sure there are some interesting storylines, coulda-shouldas, play my rent money, or simply played my families birthdays and hit the 10 spot on Keeno.
Either way, what is your biggest win and how do you hit (cap) it?

Great Play, I'll looking forward to it this year. I also saw that several other members tailed your play and also cashed - that's what it is all about.

I had Kansas in the NCAAs when they played Memphis. Memphis was playing totally out of character at the free throw line. The ideas was to foul Memphis, watch them go 1-for-2, and get the ball back. Memphis was killiing at the free throw line.
Finally, they came back to Earth, Kansas hit a 3 at the buzzer to send it into overtime, and then won it. My best. 4 figures.

When I was 17 I was staying with family friends on their farm an hour and a half out of nearest town.......Saturday night I went into town with their hot 19 year old daughter......after a couple of drinks we decided to stay in town in a motel but I only had $50 on me.
Went to the local dog track and had the $50 on Emiline Bale (still remember the name after damn near 40 years) which won at 5/2.
Enough to pay for the motel where we went hammer and tong all night long.
I tell you that was some win!

on the dice table i got on roll & they tried every which way to break my rhythm or get me to 7 out held the dice for 25 mins and hit 12 numbers bet the place bets only started with 10$ each one 10 on pass line triple odds in back and upped 1 unit after each 1st 5 hits then just doubled up after that
final roll when i sevened out i had like $500 on each place bet
point was a 9 so $2500 in place bets and $1000 on pass line and $2000 in back
total win was $35750.00

won 2k in a suicide pool but it would have been 10 if the cowboys didn't lose at home to the lions when they were playing for home field advantage
gambling wise was also 2k. 2 years ago the cubs were playing the brewers and went down 8-0 after 2 innings. matchbook put up +1000 in game and i put in the cubs for what i thought was 100 but matchbook froze for a second and i didn't think i got it in so i put in 100 again just to be sure. Bottom of the 9th, 2 outs, down 9-6 with the bases loaded. Aramis Ramirez comes up and hits a first ball slider to dead center for the walk off grand slam.

Good stories! My biggest win was 20 (Actually 19.5)in a March Madness pool, same year that Hawk mentioned.Winner was decided by most wins and I was up 1 win with Memphis vs a guy down 1 win with Kansas.Tiebreaker was total points w/o going over,if both entries went over,it went to closest.I had the edge there as long as the game stayed under 162 or so..
Had to sweat OT for sure (It's never easy)..I hedged $500 (All the $ I could get in account) with a parlay of Kansas/Over 145 IIRC and had the last Kansas shot attempt dropped, would have hit that also.
Had NC won on Saturday night,I could have wrapped it up then but had to wait until Monday which also involved a morning root canal at the dentist, who's chit-chatting with his assistant during the procedure about the game that night and how he loves Kansas!
My most memorable was splitting $40 across the board on Ferdinand with a buddy of mine at Monmouth Park.Paid $40 something in NJ. Have not hit a Derby winner since to speak of.

Thanks. Obviously the main goal is to win money for yourself, but when people tailing you win money as well it’s the icing on the cake.

When Citigroup and Travelers Insurance merge went down. Had 11,000 shares of Citi - do the math.
I lost it all holding after 9/11. Easy come easy go boys.
I've actually done ok with C but with Siri I bought shares at .13(post BK scare timeframe) and sold at .65 thinking I'd made a killing. Now it's close triple that.or was before releasing Q4 results.

December 2006. Before going on a cruise I put $100 on a 6 team NFL 6 point Pleaser and hit it for $30,000 while on the cruise, so I took an additional $4,000 cash out of one credit card and hit the ships casino that night where I hit a $5 slot machine for Triple Triple Diamonds for $12,500
I also had that NFL ticket parlayed and won about $3,000 so my take for that one day was about $45,000
I paid off my cruise bill in cash before I left then book a trip to Las Vegas for Christmas(only a week later). While in Vegas I just missed a $100 6 team NFL parlay with 5 dog ML's on it. The only fav failed to cover by a half point. That half point cost me a $60,000 parlay hit but I was still in good shape.
