The Academy Award nominations were released this week, which is a pretty big deal in the sports betting community, believe it or not.
Many books offer prop odds on the major categories like Best Picture and Best Supporting Actress and, for a lot of oddsmakers, setting these fun numbers is a nice break from the football grind between the championship games and the Super Bowl.
But what if the crossover went even deeper between Oscars and sports betting? What if the Academy Awards honored the sports world’s best and brightest – kind of like what the ESPYS try to do but without all the fan-friendly fluff?
