I stumbled across this post and have to add some cents. Bro, the reality is, you came to the perfect place for input, advice, or even good conversation. Most people here are probably battling some form of addiction or another.

Much like you, I use mutliple drugs. I had multiple discs in my neck replaced about a year ago, as I was a lifelong soccer player and tended the net. Playing keeper is a blast and giving it up is not something I want to do. The doctors put me on Norcos, and were prescribing me anywhere between 120-240 yellows per month. On top of that, I also smoke a good amount of weed almost daily. I also consume edibles (weed) daily. I have a legit license, as I live in California and roll down to dispensaries to pick up my needs.

I also am in sales, and also very gifted at it. I struggle with motivation at times, and it could be the weed I guess but sometimes I wonder if its because its just too easy doing my job.

I say all this, because your situation is very similar to mine. Often, success is not the true barometer of how we really are doing. Success is really determined, by how we feel. If you can stare in the mirror and be happy, and not worry about where you are in life, then I would say thats successful. Bottom line, is if you are taking care of your garbage, then that is successful. The damage you are doing to yourself with the alcohol is immeasurable. As one substance addict to another, thats really scary garbage. I try to avoid alcohol now, or at least back it way down. With all my addictions (weed, norcos, gambling, friggin random girl) alcohol is the one I kicked to the curb. Its really dangerous bro. I used to be a bartender years ago, and I watched dudes slowly kill themselves with alcohol. They just pound and pound drinks all day and night. I watched dudes die, literally. The high blood pressure, weight gain, diabetes, the slow disfiguring of your face, your eyes will sag and become routinely red. Its a killer plane and simple.

As for me, I used to take 6-8 norcos a day. Now I take 2, all by prescription, and my goal is to completely quit by March 1. I will never quit my weed. Its somewhat therapeutic for me and the physical damage to the body is minimal. It keeps me chill when things or times get tough, and by eating it as opposed to smoking it, I can keep it private and nobody really knows I even take it.

I wish you the best of luck, and would gladly further this conversation if you are interested. Hit me up PM and we can discuss it further. Best of luck bro......

benzos at dentists more an more common...

good job on taking the opportunity to stock up on a few more pills... it is these small battles you win on your journey that you should feel good about... not just abstaining from substances...

That's a wrap on this thread folks - he's full of garbage.  You would have crashed your car by now and wouldn't be able to remember garbage, couldn't get anything done EVER because you would be dozing off all day.  I didn't think you would lie to us, dope

1. he did wreck his car.

2. i know 100lb girls that eat 5 mg of xanax a day, and they act normal on it.

3. once you start on the scotch and xanax who needs to get anything done? and you feel great the next day.

Take it from a guy who has been on top of the world and has hit rock bottom.  It will catch up to you.  Surround yourself with good people because when garbage hits the fan they are the ones that are going to help you out.  Good luck.

yeah, i dont get the well over 200lbs thing. i drink with a purpose, and cant get past 197. i dont know any 30-40 yr olds that are fat from beer drinking.

dope looks like a healthier, darker haired jason "white chocolate" williams with 10 extra lbs. for those trying to guess what a wreck an addict in his state must look like.
