jay, never ever answer an ad that suggests you can reap great returns on your money with little to no effort.

The good news is that you learned a valuable lesson (I hope).
The bad news is that if you had done a little research and worked the ATM business yourself ... you could be in very good financial shape today.

....Actually Hugh....problem was not so much ATM's but a guy that I once did business with.  He had them in 3 states with drivers , finance director who handled maket money exchange rates, etc.  I soon found out that I wasn't the only one loaning him money and basically the return I was getting was other peoples investments.  But you are right, I have seen other business plans for the ATM business that seem profitable......I guess I still harbor a grudge against it even after all these years......

Being in "the business" I can point out more than a few reasons why I know rockdog's story was made up ... but most seem to have known that already

Hi Hugh,

thx for the response, I appreciate it. Basically, I have contacted a company that "franchises" ATM's. so I am assuming they have locations on their "radar" that they think would be good investments. Im not trying to get rich quick off of this but I think it is a good idea. I am looking to invest 100k either right away or over time piecemeal. if it works out fine i would put more than 100k into it. thoughts? thanks again pal.

Doesn't sound like a well thought out business plan... not thought out enough to risk 10 grand anyway....

100k???  That'sor !!

bigbillz ....

I would rather not get into the details of my own business here on a public forum. I will say that you should NEVER do business with a company who franchise business's, 99% of them are scams.

If you are serious about this particular business, I will give you all the info you could possibly need and it won't cost you a single penny. All you need is money, and the willingness to do some legwork. I've been doing this for quite a few years, so have made my mistakes already, and can save you from making any of your own.

Send me a friend request and you can ask specific questions via PM.

I wish I owned an ATM.  Can you just get unlimited cash, as much as you want and when it runs out you tell them to refill it?  Its like a real life money tree.
