How do we feel about NCAA Tournament expansion?

Worth discussing, I think this idea is gathering steam although I'm not fully sold.

Dumbest idea I've heard, but what can you expect from the NCAA?

64 teams is enough! You don't need play-in games! You don't need to destroy the NIT!

They could make more money? Wow. What a concept. Wonder how long long it'll take them to figure out getting rid of the BCS?

NIT is destroyed purely by definition. 

Regular season has to mean something.  Not interested in expanding it at all.  6 games in 3 weeks to get a champion is perfect if you ask me.

I find it funny they want to expand the field to 96 teams (solely for financial reasons) but if you even bring up the idea of a college football tournament you are a moron.

Agree to some extent, but there are some other logistical things that make it a little tougher to add more football games (ie. they can't play every other day).

Well, if the NCAA has a 96 team tourney this year, then North Carolina would have made the field.  As of now, NC is not in the field.

The tourney is nothing without North Carolina.

really, who cares? That would just be 31 extra teams or so that would really have no shot to win anything in the tourney. Just an extra play in round basically. The NIT would still have a bunch of scrub teams but they would be even more scrubbier. There are a few other new tourneys which would go by the wayside but  that was bound to happen anyways...

I am in favor of it.

1)  They have added around 100 teams in the last decade.

2)  Schools in the middle conferences who win their conference regular season can now get an automatic bid.   I don't think it is fair for a team like Utah St to win 25 games and not get in because they had one bad night in the conf tourney (and that bad night could be on their opponents home court).

3)  Makes the tournament more fair.  There are always 6 or 8 teams that are way weaker than the rest of the field.  Let these teams lose their play-in game, and make the 1 and 2 seeds face stronger teams. 

4)  More teams in the tourney means more games to bet on.  How is this a bad thing?

since i am not getting anything out of it...bad idea. 64 is to many as well, especially considering that the tourney regulations is rigged to ensure biggest $$ drawing teams advance to finals.
