I had to put my dog to sleep yesterday

After a year and a half battle with cancer, I had to go through the toughest thing I have ever had to do, by putting my dog to sleep. I know I don't post a lot but was just looking for some support from my fellow dog lovers and covers brothers.

had to put my first cat to sleep when i was in middle school...think i was 11...my cat spooky came in from outside all banged up it was so sad, we brought it to the vet........

One of if not the hardest thing to do in life if you are a pet owner. Had to put down our little Shit-zu last spring after close to 16 years. 

I feel for you. I went through the same thing.

But, now I have a Lab puppy and she is great.

I know this is a sensitive issue, but why did you let the dog battle it for 1 1/2 years? As far as I know once a dog gets cancer there really is no saving it.

smalltime, I know how you feel.  The worst part of the entire process is having to drive your dog to the vet.  Mine sat right next to me in the passenger seat as I drove her and looking at her was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do...

As a dog lover, it was a valid question and smalltime answered it with dignity dumbass. No one wants to see a dog or any animal suffer.

Sorry to hear about your dog man. I have two, and they are like my kids (since my wife & I do not have kids). I dread the day that I have to put them down. I have had to go through this before as a kid, and it really just sucks!
