NYC....

Manhattan is grossly overrated, wildly expensive and quite filthy

Then try visiting the other boroughs and 3 will get you killed (Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens) and the 4th has literally nothing to see outside of some............pizza places (Staten Island)

I defy anyone to chill-out in the Bronx/Queens after a Yankee/Met game. People hit the subways like bats out of hell.

All this being said, Jay-Z will still sing songs about it and tourists will still come in droves

i agree with with you on NYC.  NYC is dirty, crowded, loud, polluted, crime ridden. and grossly expensive.

I'm surprised Miami is on the list.

you are one of the very few...

people dupe themselves into believing the hogwash that NY is the 'greatest city in the world' because people tell them it is....greatest city my behind...i've seen parts of Utah that would bring all the citizens of NY to it's knees for it's natural beauty...

Hey Scalabrine, funny video about Cleveland. lol

The sad part is that the video is accurately depicted.

You can blame GM for the demise of Detroit. (Just kidding of course)

Utah is insanely scenic, much like parts of Colorado. When I moved from NY to Vegas my jaw hit the floor seeing most of the Southwest for the first time. Incredible...

Have any of you guys been to Gary, Ind? I can't imagine any place being worse than this. Its like a A-bomb hit it and everyone left. Its really terrible. Way back when (the 60's) it was a bustling town, when the steel mills went down, the place went to crap.

Birmingham Alabama..... its a complete dump,

It was once truly the "Magic City" but now nothing but slums. Political corruption, with businesses long gotten out of town, replaced by crackhouses and crime.

You sound like a typical tourist.  Now go hustle back to suburbia.

I disagree with this. I've been to Cleveland 5 times for a couple days each time and had a blast everytime. Met a bunch of locals and actually found them all to be very friendly. Mabye I just got lucky and if I lived there it'd be a different story, but I promise you Detroit is much much worse then Cleveland, I dont know how it can even be debated by someone that has visited both cities. Detroit is a living nightmare. New York City also blows, been there once and seen all 5 borroughs. Glad I went once to see it, but I sincerely hope I never have to go back to that dump.

Worst/most miserable cities in USA that I've personally been to:

1. Detroit, MI

2. Oakland, Cal

If you can visit either and go unscathed, buy a lotto ticket cuz you are 1 of the luckiest people in the world. Lay off Cleveland, its not as bad as advertised.

Agree with you guys on Detroit.   I go often enough to watch sports there (Wings, Tigers, Lions.. when the Vikes come to town).  It's a complete dump, and I never stay longer than a day.

You're not kidding! GM plants closing and high unemployment have ripple effects right down to the price of a loaf of bread in that city.

Believe it or not, this survey could, and I stress could before I get attacked, actually have an unconscious impact on Lebron's decision to stay or go when a media member throws it at him in a post game interview...who wants to spend the rest of their career in the "Most Miserable City" in America (media creation or not)

Congrats to you for actually seeing ALL of NYC...and yes, it truly blows...unless you're loaded of course...but then how isn't life grand anywhere in the world if your loaded.... outside of a desert island with no hope of rescue
