I&#x27;m down about a grand.. I want to know if ANY if you guys are actually up sports gambling in your lifetime.  I only know of a few people.. majority are losers.

I have been gambling for 25&#x2B; years and to be honest I really don&#x27;t know. I have won a lot of money and I have lost a lot of money. I don&#x27;t do it for a living, its all about the fun and excitement.

I am UP. I would estimate by about... $300

I lost for years, was always winning, being up money, but I would lose it back to the house at some point and then some. If there's any up-side to that it's that while it felt terrible losing it all back and them some, I didn't actually finish into the red by very much. Still have the records of every bet placed in the last 5 years give or take a group of some here and there but I am UP

The second rule of gambling is money management, the first is realizing that even with good money management if you bet a lot of games you shouldn't just because you know you can afford the bet size, you will get wiped out. Only play your top-tier plays and keep them all the same size.

I am 30 years old. I have been gambling "good" for I'm gonna say 12 years (Im going to exclude in middle school when we used to pitch quarters to the wall LOL). I have a great handicapping winning percentage, But I have no "system" or "units" or "$$ management". So I do things all the time like send $700 sat morning tod bet on a college game at 12 noon. By the end of the day I am 4-1 & up $3000. Then I will go 1-1 ono sunday at just lose some tax & then BET THE WHOLE DAMN THING ON SUNDAY NIGHT & be overall 6-2 but CASH BROKE. I am down at least $200k of my own $$ & this does not include $$ that I have Won & then lost back. Just $$ I've sent initially. I gamble year around on sports, do casino's heavy, and "street gamble", shooting dice (cee-lo), shooting pool & playing GEORGIA SKIN..

It&#x27;s been up and down for me. I used to win a few hundred betting with a bookie back in my early 20&#x27;s. Then I went online and there was a time I was up 12k then went on a losing streak and gradually over a year or so lost most of it. I had my best streak a few years back and had won around 34k in about 5 months. Then sportsbook.com started having issues paying and I lost about 15-19 of it back over the next year or so. They stiffed me for about 8-10k and I had to let it go due to almost going to jail lol. In the last year I have won about 14k and lost most of it back. It goes in waves, you get to losing and think well I will stop when I get to 5k then you say 4k before you know it you have a little under a grand and hating life. I am trying to quit, but not having alot of luck.  I would say I am about even or down a bit, because I win alot and usually give it back.

I honestly don&#x27;t really know. Pretty close to breakeven I would say. I am 31 years old and have only been betting for about 6 years. I have made deposits, I have made withdrawls. I know when to shut it down when it&#x27;s not going well and when to amp it up when things are rolling. It&#x27;s all about money management and not chasing.

I&#x27;ve probably lost about $7-10k from sports gambling and going to the casino in the 6 years previous to this year.This year I am up $2k for the year but its been extremely difficult to stay disciplined and stick to my unit plays and whatnot. I also quit going to the casino and playing poker online. Now just play home games and do quite well and keep those winnings separate from my sports money. Usually make about $500-2k every month from home games. Have four groups that I rotate around and play with and I have most of the tendencies and tells down. Also try to lose a few hundred every now and then so they keep inviting me back.

I want to rephrase and make an adjustment to my post here. It is honestly difficult to say how much I&#x27;ve lost because I am a "feel bettor". So, I bet how I feel, if it a standard game I might bet 4-600, if I really like it I have bet as much as 5k on the national championship ( &amp; hit both halfs with Texas &amp; Vince Young over USC). But, to be honest about it, I SPEND A WHOLE LOT OF DAMN $$ TOO. Like almost everytime I win big, I buy something big or go shopping or trick, or go to the club &amp; buy champagne like crazy. It&#x27;s difficult, because IT ALL COMES OUT OF THE SAME POT. (Note 2self- If I am going to continue to gamble I MUST do better accounting)

I have a Very solid career that pays pretty well I do like 65-85year salary. Plus I own a couple rental properties. So that&#x27;s all good. When gambling has been good, I have gone 8 months straight WITHOUT EVER GOING 2 THE BANK &amp; Just letting the checks hit direct deposit. So It added up fast. But then I look at what I have now &amp; I KNOW I lost my ass off on some big wagers, but then I have MAJOR OTHER HABITS TOO. THIS IS ALL JUST CONFUSING. I dont know where the gambling starts and spending ends (shakes head)....

Also 30 years old and have been gambling since middle school. I remember playing poker with my friends for baseball cards. Cards for cards we would call it. I remember we would have a beckett to show the value of each card (when they were actually worth anything) then play 5 card draw for the pot. Also remember getting caught running a football pool in 7th grade and getting two detentions for it...hahah.

Serious gambling the past 10 years I would say I'm down about 10k betting on sports and up about the same playing poker.

That is me to a tee.....23 years for me....I don&#x27;t try to earn a living by any of it when I play, it&#x27;s for fun....I certainly recall the specific games that lost more than glorifying the wins, but it&#x27;s probably 50-50.I&#x27;m not playing currently, and probably won&#x27;t until after Christmas.....Too many other priorities right now........

I started seriously gambling about 7 years ago (I'm 36). At first, it was online poker - when partypoker first came out. Then I opened up an online sports account and couldn't help wagering on Bundesliga at 7 am!

I will reload an online book or poker account about once every 3 or 4 months with $100 or so. And, I've done that for that whole 7 yrs. I started using a local about 3 years ago. With him, I'll collect 4 or 5 weeks in a row (maybe $200-1000), then I'll usually give it all back and then some in one drunken weekend.

I'd say in my lifetime, I'm down maybe $10-15k with an average sports bet of $50-200. Pretty terrible, huh? If I was more disciplined, there's no doubt in my mind I'd be up. But, alcohol and chasing can really put a dent in anyone's bankroll. I haven't met a drunk yet that has a pot to piss in - we all seem to find a way to give our money away.

i am a meticulous book keeper over the 6 years i have been betting...still have the same laptop and ll my excel spreadsheets saved...i bet 200-1000 dollars every game these days...checked 2 days ago for fun, and i am up 67 dollars over 6 years....glad to see the thousands of hours i have devoted to gambling have paid off
