#1 Posted: 10/2/2009 4:48:19 PM I'm turning 31 and spent my 20's drinking and taking pills.I need a good detox diet and liver cleanse pill or recipe.Any help would be appreciated.I just need to clean my sytem out. |

#4 Posted: 10/3/2009 8:04:49 AM you don't need any "detox" product. IMO all of these products are bullshit. Your body will get rid of anything it doesn't need. Stop taking the pills and drinking, eat a good diet, get plenty of exercise, drink plenty of fluids-esp. water......good to go.
If you do decide to take something, run it by your doctor first or at least research the ingredients.  |

Paid for it in my 30's. I actually wasn't bulletproof!! Who'd have thought???
Lemon detox seems to be the " IN " thing these days.
Personnally I found by doing the complete opposite worked wonders ( not one for medicines). I gave up the grog and crap. Changed diet myself, fruit and vegies. Took time BUT I feel great. STRONG!!!!!
Doctor told me to eat good stuff for 2 days THEN skip a day. Eat good stuff for 2 days THEN skip a day.
That was great ...........lost 60lbs in 3 weeks!!!!!!!! but my legs are sore from SKIPPING all day!!!!!! 
Seriously though, now in 40's, lost 35kg (weight now 85kg). 2 grandchildren and LIFE IS GREAT.
Just do it yourself. Go to gym (basic weights NOT heavy lifts) or at home, walks and excerise. Doesn't matter. Just do something. Just make the change YOURSELF and reap the rewards.
Word of warning though:- Gambling gods don't care!!! I still lose!!

Ofcourse you can do some detox programs and they will cleanse you right here and now, but it wont matter much if you then go back to your old diet.
Quick fixes could be
A) Colon cleansing treatment. Yes the stick a tube into your ass and suck all the crap out. It is supposed to work, but that is only the colon. In a full detox you would need a lot more.
B) A Detox program, you can google them everyone online. Newton Labs have some detox programs.
Or you take the natural approach which is more long term. It doesnt not mean you have to become a health freak. That includes
A) Trips to Sauna/Steam baths (if possible)
B) Drinking loads of water, tea and the like.
C) Healthy eating, lots of fibre (good for your intestines)
D) Getting your liver working. Your liver is the bodys spunge, it detoxifies all the other parts of your body. So if your liver is not doing what it is supposed to do you are in trouble.
