I Punched a Dude in the face last night (Downtown Nashville)

Not a fighter. Never initiated a fight...especially over stupid shit. I went to Nashville to check it out with a friend of mine (fellow Army officer). Was walking down the busy street where all the bars are at just enjoying our night. I pulled my cell out as we were walking and saw that I had a text from my wife. I texted her back to tell her to sleep well and I love you. We stopped walking as we were getting ready to cross the street and this dude walks right up to me (approx 10 people waiting to cross the street) and says "I'm going to throw that fuckin cell phone in the lake, it's not doing shit for you!!!" And yes, he yells it. His face is about 6 inches from mine as he yells it. I am obviously a little stunned by this. I back up and am like ....whoa dude, what the fuck is wrong with you. First thing i say is something like..."mind your own buisiness, keep walking." Instead he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a freakin chain (the type people use to secure there wallets and connect them to there pants) and he starts flicking it like he is going to whip me with it. As soon as he got close enough, I kicked him in the nuts and then uppercut punch to the chin. He fell hard...the crowd dispersed....and me and my friend jumped in a cab. I was pretty dissapointed that this happened...we ended up going to the hotel shortly after it happened. What the fuck is going on in this country? Crazy people out there.

by the way....i know kicking him in the nuts is a chic move but he was big and was one of those harley biker looking dudes and i think he was drunk. Kicking him was strictly a survival instinct. I'm from new york city and have never been approached with something that weird or crazy...not even on the subway.

A well placed punch can EASILY knock someone out cold.  Throw in an intoxicated person.....no problem.
