Just wanted to know before I bet the farm following these "experts". Thanks.
its so true, they used to show there last 10 picks as well and they were never in the green, better chance flipping a coin

Ain't that the truth. Sometimes I like picking up a $25 pick for CE and if it wins they ding me and if they don't win I don't get charged.
Sorry boys, but I disagree with a lot of what you are saying about Covers Experts.

theprez - I just saw this today. I do not discount the fact that there are people out there that can win in the toting business. I have more respect for handicappers than I do for the sales guy blowing up peoples phones trying to sell them "A Lock".
I have been wagering for over 20 years and when I first started I to was suckered in to these touts thinking they had the "Inside Info", "Scouts", or any other BS they were selling. Truth is, it's just simply not true and therefore the credibility began to diminish. I've heard it all from these guys.
The problem is there are some really legit guys in the handicapping business that handle their business correctly, however, there are too many on the flip side that are just bad apples of the bunch. I have had the pleasure of meeting a few and know this to be true, but I despise the business as a whole for the fact that it is mostly a scam.
I can make this assesment because I have been through it. As I stated some of these guys keep incredible databases. You mention Marc Lawrence and I have dealt with him in the past. His database playbook and handicappers lounge is top notch, but it doesn't come without help from fellow cappers he associates with.
I'm sure you know Marc much better than I, but once he went mainstream with all of his sites he started to fall off a bit in my opinion. However, he started exceling in other areas. He is one of the long time standing fellas in what is a crazy business now a days. He came roaring out of the gate back in the 70's I believe and really started to propel in the 80's and 90's.
No offense, but I don't pay any attention to the Covers Experts. However, having said that it is what first drew me to this site back when it first started up. The information that some of these cappers out there provide in their write-ups is unparralel in the business. Some of the stats that these databases or individuals have break downs on are some of the oddest and strangest stats you will find, but if they provide an edge then I am all for it.
I could go on and on about this topic, but I will stop short here. I know there are some really good guys out there in this business and I am fortuanate to have crossed some of their paths.
I will take you up on your offer to talk more about this on Covers radio if you wish. It is an interesting topic for sure, but would most likely need more attention then the show may be willing to dedicate.
I wish you and all your fellow cappers success in the future, but I will leave you with one bit of advice. To change the image of how touts have solied your type of business, I would be on these message boards more. You guys have a distinct advantage in trying to help increase the tarnished image of the touting/capping business by using these forums. If I were in your position I would be here posting among the masses.
If it were me, I would be offering your expertise in to how capping is done and how to find distinct advantages. In other words, help people out a bit. I don't mean just give away your plays, but offer some really good insight. Maybe a weekly thread where you and the guys come in and and provide some stats, feedback on games, or simply let guys ask questions about how to properly evaluate a game so they can make educated decisions rather than blindly tailing or guessing. This would really help all of you and your business image in the long run.
My pops always taught me that knowledge, power, money and fame are great, but what good is it if you don't have anyone to share it with. Thanks for the kind words of success. Keep on keeping on.
