#1 Posted: 12/12/2007 7:25:41 PM anyone see the line on this yet? I use a local and don't have access to the line on this game at the moment. Being a Whitewater Alum, I am definately biased in my opinion...but I think the Warhawks are due this year.
GO HAWKS! |

#3 Posted: 12/12/2007 9:05:35 PM I heard from someone the line came out at -14 and had moved all the way to -23..that doesn't sound right to me considering this is a championship game..but I don't follow Div III and I've heard Mt. Union is the Patriots of Div III.

#4 Posted: 12/12/2007 9:17:54 PM Line is 21.5 at the Hilton.
This might be Mount's best team. They should be illigal at this level of football. The closest game this year was 24 points. I live 20 minutes from Mount so I get local coverage. They were up 28-0 after the first quarter in the semi's. Went on to win 62-14. |

#7 Posted: 12/13/2007 3:55:59 AM GabbyJizzy said it best, this might be their best team in quite a while. I graduated from a D3 school who has Mount in their conference(OAC), and they're the real deal, EVERY YEAR. Don't see this game being close at all. |

#8 Posted: 12/13/2007 4:40:04 AM it definitely opened at -14 at 5dimes sunday night or at least that was the first line i saw. it then moved to 17 by around 3am when i went to sleep & then to 23 by monday night. it stands at 21 at the moment at 5d. i really wish i would have taken it when i first saw it at 14 but i never thought it would move like this. although i did think 14 was low considering mt. union's dominance of div 3. 9 points is one hell of a middle opportunity. suprised the books left themselves open to that prospect unless they have very good reason to believe it will be a total annihalation or a very close game with not much chance of it hitting in between. they usually know what their doing. i know whitewater has played mt union in the last 2 stagg bowls but can't remember the scores. anyone have a clue where last years boxscore can be found? |

Mt Union beat Whitewater by 7 in 2005, and 19 in 2006. Although, this might be the best Whitewater team to come to the table. Their one loss was to a DII school, and they crushed the (then #2 DIII team in the country) Mary Hardin 41-14 and beat them again last week. Mt Union has been here several times, but after the third matchup, UWW will be prepared for them....certainly a closer game than the line predicts. |

#13 Posted: 12/14/2007 4:48:17 PM I like to bet on college as much as the next guy but please... how in the world can you cap this game. It is like betting on pre-season NFL or the Cactus league. GL what ever you decide. |

#14 Posted: 12/14/2007 5:29:15 PM Who's posting a line other than 5dimes? I'm on the Greek. Any hope of getting it there? I'll be in Salem tomorrow for the game. No doubt about Mount's excellence, but -23 seem outrageous.

actually, this is the third matchup of these two teams. both teams have reached this bowl for the third year in a row. Whitewater is only here, again, because they are a solid DIII team...one of the best. There is no reason that a spread should be that high in a championship game where the teams know each other. |
