Clearly LSU is not going to play in the National Championship game. They had their shot and blew it against a mediocre Arkansas team. Va. Tech's only two losses come to LSU and Boston College (Fluke) which they then came back and hammered in the ACC championship. When they played LSU they were missing half of their starting defense which is basically their team. LSU can't jump Va. Tech in the BCS polls, they both had a win this week and Va. Tech was ranked higher to begin with. BC was also ranked higher than Tennessee going into yesterday's games. LSU blew their shot... Va. Tech vs OSU for the championship.
Line opens at OSU -6.5

i could care less... they blew their own shot. They had the national title in their grasps and let it go. No reason they should have lost the game last night but it happened. I'm not starting ridiculous threads though.
Georgia was ranked ahead of Vatech this week and has lost 2 games all season. They lost to South Carolina and at Tennessee. They played at Alabama and Florida and beat them. They also took care of business at home when Auburn and Kentucky came to their place.
LSU hasn't even lost during regulation this year. Both their losses are in triple OT. LSU has played 7 of their 13 games against top 20 ranked teams. One of those teams being the all mighty Hokies who were trampled 48-7. Don't even go saying that they Hokies are so much better because even with their progression on offense they would still be handled by LSU. LSU won the best, most competitive conference title while Vatech probably would have been #4 best team in the SEC.
Vatech is a great team but not deserving of playing for the national championship over Georgia or LSU.

"the all mighty hokies trampled" that isin't biased or anything Jpero judging from what you have written you don't know very much about college football just retort what anyalysts on ESPN are saying. A loss is a loss regardless of it is in overtime or regulation. LSU is super because they lose in overtime not regulation?? Georgia has a much stronger case for playing in the National Championship game than LSU however they didn't even make their conference championship which pretty much eliminates them from a national championship (unless the BCS fucks it up again) LSU squeaked by Tennessee yesterday, nothing convincing about their win in any way. Tech played 5 ranked opponents and handled them all with the acception of LSU which came very early... when Virginia Tech suffered a lot of injuries (although from what you write I dont think you know very much about college football... so you can research that as well) Anyways the ultimate decision comes at the hands of the BCS system... So I will sit back and wait...

BCS is 1/3 of the process fool... you apparently do not realize that which makes me question your sports knowledge whatsoever
The 2 polls that will be released tonight will have the most effect on the national championship game. The writers are not going to be voting solely based on this weeks results of games. Instead what they should be doing is ranking who they believe are the best teams in the country. I am not an LSU fan but everyone and their mother knows that LSU is better than Va tech, end of discussion. The writers will reward LSU for their conference championship and most likely put them 2 or 3. I think Georgia deserves the shot as you should have realized from above when I mentioned Georgia before LSU. However, I know how you work and I mentioned LSU because I already predicted you would bring up the argument that Georgia wasn't even good enough to play for their conference title...
ACC is mediocre but you are too stubborn or stupid to realize and analyze facts and statistics. I am done with you cause its like talking to a brick wall that only spits out ACC propaganda.
