Record through Week 13 Sides 49-47, +8.7 units Totals 10-7-1, +5.4 units 1h/2h 10-11, -2.25 units ML 1-3, -1.4 units Parlays 0-1, -2.0 units Teasers 0-2, -4.4 units Overall +4.05 units
Decent week, hitting my larger plays on USC and VT and have this thing back in the black finally.
Pitt/WV over 58.5 2.2/2 - I don't see any let up out of WV here as they will try and pile on an impressive win over their hated rival and take no chances with the BCS system with their National title hopes in the balance. I think they are good for 45+ and Pitt can help the cause enough for this one to go over.

You think so? I was looking at that total, and I just don't feel that I have a good enough read on Pitt to try either the side or total. I was looking closely at that USF/Pitt boxer and the its been a while since I have seen such an artificially high scoring game. (Maybe the last one was Cincy/USF?) The second half featured 2 pick-6s and another pick to set up a one-yard TD drive. matt Grothe went 80-yards by himself. Meanwhile Pitt just starting throwing it in the 4th to complete a few quick drives, and they scored the last TD as the result of a 55-yard kickoff return. While I don't necessarily think WV's defense is as good as USF's, I think they are playing better rigtht now and they are sure to be focussed. Pitt had gone for some really low totals before this last game.

Gar - Pitt's defense is better this year than last when WVU ran for over 400 yards against them. However, Navy got over 300 yards rushing vs. Pitt this year, so I would think WVU certainly should do as well despite the rivalry and they are averaging an amazing 6.2 ypc. I think 45 is very attainable for WVU especially if Pitt turns it over a couple times. I see Pitt hanging 17-20 or so.

I think you have PITT side pretty close IMO....I see WVU around 50 though.... several of those scored by the defense.... the over is about 58.5 or so depending on your book...... I already have some on WVU - 28.......... but the OVER has to be a goood play here.... in fact, I might need to do that.... IF I lost the side.... I still have helluva a chance to on the over.........and for me to lose the side PITT has to put up damn near 21 i think, your opinion?

Hey....Thank god this game is in Morgantown! If it was at Heinz.....it would be like 34-6.....at least on the turf there is a shot. All that speed......and shady should get a couple.

VT -4.5 2.2/2 - I like VT in this rematch for the ACC title. The Hokies have shown steady improvement the last 4 or 5 games of the season and instrumental to that has been the improvement of the OL and the positive effect on the running game. VT has the better defense in this matchup and will be able to get pressure on Ryan. Hopefully we won't see them go to the three man rush and the prevent again. BC secondary is their achilles heel and with a healthy Eddie Royal, VT should be able to make some plays in the passing game. The injuries to Dunbar and Tribble have really hurt the BC secondary and they have been very susceptible to the passing game since these injuries occurred. VT gets revenge here and their defense will frustrate Matt Ryan.

Central Florida -7 -120 2.4/2 - CF runs the football much better and has by far the better defense. I don't see Tulsa being able to stop this team and think CF will get out in front early and control the TOP.

Very good post on the VTech game Timh.....I've been "scouring" for input on that game....Lucky gut instincts lately, and my gut is burning this week for a VTech victory.... It's looks very appealing, yet not a lot of folks are posting about it....Thanks for the insight....GL this week

Good stuff as usuall timh, only read about 5 posters in the cfb/cbb forums now, too much clutter. Yours would be one.
I want to take tech badly, but at the same time I remember what happened when I took tech the last time these 2 teams met. What a fuckjob letdown by tech defense after a gem-like 58 minutes of football.
But tomorrow I will be on them as well, they have really gotten stronger and gained steam as the season has progressed. Big win last week and I think it carrys momentum over to the bc game. Glennon really showin some poise in there now too, Ore riding high off his first100 yard game last week in running for 147... and I love the tech D, who will be fueled lookin to makeup for their abismal letdown in the last matchup between the two.
Lets get that tech money.....
No interest in playing mizzou as 3 point dogs? Good luck....

You remember the marshall/WV game and how marshall ran and threw all over west virginia in the first half....pitt is capable of this same performance and could possibly not let go as much in the 2nd as marshall did.
something to think about when getting 28.5 points..............
