Auburn looks like they're going to be really good.  Jarrett Stidham was nearly perfect, and Kerywan Williams is a dynamic runner, this will be a tough team for defenses to stop with their Run-pass-options with Stidham and Williams.  Auburns WR's looked completely different once they had a QB throwing them the ball.  Auburn's defense is also loaded, especially in the back end.  They will have a big test early at Clemson.

Ole Miss is another team that could surprise some people.  Shea Patterson was the #1 ranked QB coming out of high school, and now that the Ole Miss Offensive Coordinator adjusted the system to fit Patterson he could have a huge year.  Ole Miss might have the best WR corps in college football.  They need some work defensively, but Marquis Haynes is a great edge rusher.   Ole Miss also benefits from the rest of the SEC losing a lot of talent, while the rebels only lost Evan Engram.  Ole Miss does play in the west, which means they play Alabama, Auburn, Miss St, LSU, Arkansas, and Texas A&M.  Auburn, and Alabama will be good.  LSU is losing a ton of starters, but they never seem to drop off.  A&M should be significantly worse, losing Garrett, Hall, Evans, Trevor Knight, Ricky Seals Jones, Josh Reynolds, Speedy Noil, their OT, ...

I am predicting a pretty big year for Austin Allen, from Arkansas.

Al, I'm an Alabama fan but I was really impressed watching Auburn Saturday.  Stidham can flat out throw the ball down the field and that's something that's been lacking at Auburn of late.

SEC West is shaping up to be a dogfight!

Seems like the PUBLIC is really down on Ole Miss this year.  This team still has a bunch of talented players plus one of the best quarterbacks in the Southeastern Conference.

I'm thinking there will be some good opportunities playing the Rebs this year.

Tibbs rightly or wrongly a lot of that has to do with their postseason ban. Which Ole Miss will show up this year?

for those who don't know here is Ole Miss's schedule:

Sep. 2nd HM South Alabama

Sep 9th HM UT Martin

Sep 16th at California

Sep 23rd BYE

Sep 30th At Alabama

Oct 7th At Auburn

Oct 14th HM Vanderbilt

Oct 21st HM LSU

Oct 28th HM Arkansas

Nov 4th at Kentucky

Nov 11th HM Louisiana

Nov 18th HM Texas A&M

Thanksgiving Night at Mississippi State

If they can go 3-2 in the 1st 5 they can win 7-9 games IMO. More importantly for us maybe they could be 1 of those 8-3 9-2 ATS type of teams

BOL guys

Pack, this is what a good CFB forum is all about.  Good discussion never hurt a college football bettor.

Shame more at this great forum don't get involved.

Thanks Bud!
