During the offseason, several top rated quarterbacks have transferred to a new school.  Many of these players were rated 4star or 5star out of high school.  If you know of others, please list them.

Player.......................Old School...........New School
Jarrett Stidham.........Baylor...................Auburn
Blake Barnett............Alabama...............Arizona State
David Cornwell.........Alabama...............Nevada
Cooper Bateman......Alabama...............Utah
Max Browne.............USC......................Pittsburgh
Shane Morris............Michigan...............Central Michigan
Anu Solomon............Arizona.................Baylor
Dwayne Lawson.......Virginia Tech.........Illinois
Tommy Stewart.........Boise State...........Duquense
Damian Williams.......Miss State.............Texas State
Nick Tiano.................Miss State.............Chattanooga
Shuler Bently............Old Dominion.........Murray State

There are several uncommitted transfers....at least as far as I know.  Malik Zaire (Notre Dame), Marvin Zanders (Missouri), Malik Henry (FSU), Hayden Rettig (Rutgers)

Thanks Skip....Hell, I was beginning to think Covers posters were barred from posting here in the CFB forum.

No matter.........I'll fill the empty space because I love college football.

Appreciate you Bud!

Hawk, to be honest I know very little about Soloman.  I'll do some homework and maybe respond later.

Thanks partner.................I love the research!

I like Cooper Bateman going to Utah....

Shane Morris was awful at Michigan, I wonder which way he will go at the MAC school.   Could eat up lesser competition or could be worse than he already looked.   I think it will be the latter.... nothing he did ever impressed me.

I agree BWS about Cooper Bateman.  He's been a loyal trooper at Alabama and I hope he does well at Utah.  The kid is a really good athlete and may wind up playing receiver at Utah.

Being from Alabama, the big transfer was Auburn getting Jarrett Stidham from Baylor.  Kid is good and may just be the missing piece the Tigers have missed at QB the past two years.

Don't sleep on Auburn this year and this is coming from an Alabama guy.

Having a QB that is capable of throwing a forward pass is a major upgrade for Auburn

Kyle Allen from Texas A&M to Houston

Will be eligible to play this season. Wonder if he regrets that with the coaching change.

Interesting... he's a pro-style guy.   Still talent on offense, Oliver still there on defense.   Schedule not bad...  @ Arizona and vs. Texas Tech highlight the OOC schedule

No. Houston will be running the same type of offence. Major Applewhite (new coach) was previously the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Herman was great, I think Applewhite could be better

Stidham will struggle mightily. That Baylor offence fit him well. The boring SEC style ground and pound will not be his friend. Trust me.

Louisville grad transfer qb Kyle Bolin has decided to transfer to Rutgers

I myself think Rutgers could be a nice play week 1

My gang love's you Pack because we know you are a CFB supporter but we might differ with you on Rutgers opening game.  Personally, I think Washington will beat the dog out of them.  I don't have much respect for Rutgers this year...especially against a really good team like Washington.

My take....NOT like I have ever been wrong before.

Thanks Pack....you are a value to this forum.

Whether or not I bet Rutgers will depend on the line movement offseason news etc. But the Huskies will have a long flight to NJ for the game and I see Rutgers losing a 44-20 type of game or 38-17

Will I bet the game? Time will tell

I concur. 3 time zones.   Washington should dominate, but cover possibly 25+, with all the losses on D,  not so sure...though its in my top ten for week 1, I think there are better options on the board...GL

Malik Zaire has said in the next couple weeks he'll make his decision. He has confirmed the list of schools as Texas,Florida and Wisconsin but according to CollegeFootballtalk.com a new school is in the mix.... and that school is Harvard

Now in the Ivy League they don't offer athletic scholarships though you can qualify for their financial aid

First, I don't know the kid nor am I prejudging him.  BUT, why would a QB at NOTRE DAME consider playing for Harvard?

Someone in the know ....we welcome your comments.

Every season, college football is full of transfers who are expected to make an instant difference for their new team.

Well WT i'm not a huge Zaire fan myself. I'm not sure if he sees himself having a future in professional football. I myself look at him as a CFL or Arena qb

You ask why would he consider Harvard? I would say a Harvard degree in the wall always looks good and its hard to turn down Harvard if you have a shot to go. I put it at 10% of him going to Harvard. Hopefully for Zaire he makes the best decision for himself

I mean he could play in hell covered in gasoline and it would be better than playing for Brian Kelly
