Yes, I'm a degenerate. I'll work some MACtion on a Wednesday night and love it.
Unfortunately, I'm now stuck watching 'Lil Jon' do cringe-worthy NBA Saturday primetime commercials & it's bringing me down. I can kinda get into CBB but I don't know how to wager on it - too many teams.

Anyone else feel this way in the off-season??

Go Vols!!
Orange and White game is April 4th - looking forward to seeing Dormandy and John Kelley under our new O.C. Larry Scott (he has some big shoes to fill now that we unfortunately 'helped' push DeBord towards his new IU job - after having record-breaking offensive stats this season..
I'm also hyped to see Bob Shoop's defense now that he has a year and personally picked staff under his belt!

Also, can't believe I'm saying this but I sure do miss those lame Buick ads right now  oh Buick, everyone knows you still have Old People cars

P.S. College Gameday for CBB on those basketball courts is a MAJOR letdown compared to Corso getting sauced and giving me fade material. Even the intro is lame.. but how can you beat watching Big n' Rich while drinking a bloody mary on a Saturday morning??

I'll have to retire my giant cut-out of Reece Davis' face til August

My Vols got that 5 star DT - about time Butch manned up and curbed Dabo from stealing all of TN's talent.

Good hearing from you BWS!
You, Scal, Freak, & Mac are all Covers legends. Sad we won't be hearing Brent say "You are looking live" next season but look forward to hearing from you

P.S. I'll keep updating this thread with any interesting off-season news I find

interesting read. Tickets at Bobby Dodd are out the roof, might try and cop a ticket from the school since it'll be my senior year.

Tennessee's WR coach Zach Azzanni is leaving the Vols to hold the same position with the Chicago Bears.

Two of the 2016 Tennessee's Wide Receiving-Corp stats struck me as interesting..

Total Receptions: 238, Total Yards: 3,100 (information from ESPN.com)

First we lose DeBord (our OC), now we've lost two more coaches on offense..

Did Butch force a clean house or are people jumping ship?

Interesting to see if Bama still rolls now that Kiffin and Sark is gone.

 Who is Saban's OC now?

Not sure...  wonder how Saban feels now....    I believe if he kept Kiffin they would have won.  I would love to know how much Sark actually had to do with the play calling.   Hurts wasn't put in position to succeed with his talents.

Ole Miss post-season self ban for this year.

I agree but keep in mind that we live in the very last days of the drop-back, pro-style quarterback. This was the first look at a dual-threat QB that I've seen wearing crimson that I can recall.

Also, being a Vol fan I truly understand that Kiffin thinks of himself first and it was obvious he wanted to be a head coach rather than get chewed up and spit out by one every Saturday. Saban had an interview once and the interviewer asked what he was most afraid of and he said "complacency". If you get complacent, you'll lose. I'm sure he's got a roster of quality back-ups just like Bama has that 4 & 5 star recruit waiting-list

I heard about the Ole Miss ban. Self-imposed bans are way better than getting hammered by the NCAA. I'm not sure how much faith I have in Hugh Freeze anymore.. something seems odd in Oxford.

Baker Mayfield arrested in Arkansas for public intox, fleeing and some other fun charges....   I'm sure Stoops will suspend him for the 1st play of next seasons opener

What I like about Mayfield is he's a 'goodie' QB, meaning he plays well but wants to be that "off field leader" you know, the guy who goes to church on sunday and shows up to practice early but stays late.. that guy. So this is GOLDEN to watch how Stoops handles this whole situation from start to finish. Thanks for the update!

& Josh Malone got his charges dropped so he can enter the NFL draft now.

Is this the last year the Vandals are in the FBS? For some reason I can't remember if it's Idaho or Wyoming who is leaving the FBS - would be strange if it was Wyoming given their come-back season in 2016.

Idaho is heading to FCS in 2018.

New Mexico State is being kicked out of the Sun Belt following this season.

The departure of these teams opened the door for Coastal Carolina to join the Sun Belt from FBS and also give the conference a Championship game.

Makes sense all around....   Idaho and NMSU were the 2 farthest schools travel wise for the league.   Idaho will join the Big Sky conference in FCS which is also the home to Eastern Washington and Montana who are normal powerhouses.  They have had some talented players in past few years...  I think interest in the program will be higher with them playing some geographic rivals.

I'm guessing NMSU will go independent as they already have 6 games set up for 2018 against teams from various conferences.

I think its a great Move for Idaho ( for Now)  ....Never did understand them in the SBC ....

Coastal Carolina in the SBC would be a great fit
