Nevada played at Texas A&M last week, come home and now have to fly to New York and play Buffalo. Bad spot for Nevada. I'm betting against my favorite team Illinois and taking Middle Tennessee State. Middle Tennessee St in their two wins put up 70 and 73 points. They did lose at Alabama 37-10, but if Illinois played at Alabama they would lose by 50. Sure Missouri is 3-0 but they haven't impressed anyone in those 3 wins barely beating Arkansas St and UCONN. Kentucky already has an impressive road win at South Carolina and a quality loss at home against Florida with a chance to win the game at the end...I'll take Kentucky -2.5 against Missouri. Duke getting 9 points against Georgia Tech, I'll take that all day long. Both teams lost last weekend but Duke gave up a touchdown return to start the second half against Northwestern and a 55 yard TD run. Last week Duke defense gave up 271 yards, subtract those two bad plays and Duke beats Northwestern. GT is supposed to have a passing game this year but Duke secondary is very good forcing GT to do what they do best and run the ball. Problem is that Duke has an improved run defense only giving up an average of 93 yards a game. This is a conference game at Duke and Duke will be well prepared, I just wish I would've got the ten points when it opened. Last game is Bowling Green but don't let the record of 1-2 deceive you. Bowling Green can pass the ball putting up 433 yards against Tennessee, 491 yards against Maryland and 443 yards against Memphis. Purdue is benching junior quarterback Austin Appleby for redshirt freshman David Blough. Blough is making his first collegiate start. So I have Bowling Green who played well until middle of the third quarter against Tennessee with 105,000 screaming Vol fans rooting against them, then go on the road and whip Maryland. Sure they lost against Memphis but Memphis is much improved the last two years and Memphis was favored to win the game last week. Now Bowling Green gets Purdue, a team that is a bottom feeder in the Big Ten, receives no fan support and starting a freshman QB. Sportsbooks made a mistake and Bowling Green should be a 7 point favorite.

Money coming in on Buffalo. Now as high as -3. Bad spot for Nevada with cross country travel for today's game and having to play in state rival UNLV next week.
