Yes Keeton is back but who is going to make plays for him? Top two backs are gone and 2 of 3 best WR's are gone. OLine has to replace 5 of 6 starters. Not like they have depth or can get 4 and 5 star recruits like the Vols who had the 7th best recruiting class in the country. Yes the defense was nasty last year but 6 starters gone and the secondary is inexperienced and there will be plays there to be made. Yeah Chuckie is back but a lot more to it than meets the eye and a ton of question marks all over the field for a completely different team.
Vols have to replace the entire OLine but they have depth. Some of you act like they are starting 5 freshman, they aren't. They should be OK. Vols return all of their skill position players which is huge. Secondary is damn good. Their problem last year was stopping the run and not sure if Utah State can take advantage of that. Vols have a completely different level athlete, yes they are young but there is something to be said for 4 and 5 star recruits all over the place and gaining depth. New coach in a hostile environment with hope and one of the best recruiting classes in the country has me thinking.............Before Worley went down they beat South Carolina and almost beat Georgia but can't beat Utah State at home? Don't get me wrong Vols are probably a .500 team but this is a game they should win.
No play yet as I have to think about it some more but nobody mentions what a strong opening number this is. They could have opened this at 4 and gotten the same Utah State money because of Keeton. All I keep reading is why Utah State will win, just thought I'd try to give more of a balanced opinion.
4-2 ats so far this year. Will have a play closer to kick off. Good luck everyone.

Good chance the field will be wet as well FWIW. Keeton will have to get over the mental hurdle of planting on that leg and if the grass is wet that's going to make it even worse.

"The second year of the Butch Jones era at Tennessee begins on Sunday as they will host the Utah State Aggies in the 2014 opener for both teams. The Vols are coming off a tough 5-7 season but much of that struggle was expected as they were one of the younger teams in Division I for Jones’ first season after coming from Cincinnati. Utah State had very high hopes for last season that were dashed in their battle with BYU when dual-threat QB Chuckie Keeton went down with a season-ending knee injury. Keeton is back this year for the Aggies, who return eight starters, but just three on offense. Their big loss was RB Joey DeMartino, who gained almost 1300 yards for the Aggies last year. In addition to Keeton, they will also get RB Joe Hill back and we expect him to come back strong from his season-ending knee injury. Another major concern with this Aggie team will be their lack of experience on the offensive line, which we believe will show up when playing against a big, physical SEC-defensive front. The Vols offense will once again be led by Justin Worley, who showed flashes of solid play during his junior year. Tennessee returns 10 starters, five on both offense and defense, and has some elite players at the skill positions. The Vols have won 19 straight home openers while the Aggies have dropped 16 straight road openers. The Sharps are bullish on the Tennessee Volunteers being a much better football team this season in Jones second year and think that Utah State will be completely outmatched both physically as well as the speed angle. We are going to jump in now as we currently have this number at Vols -6.5 and like them to win by double-digits. "

Tenn gotta replace every starter on BOTH lines.....they are the only D1 school that has to do that. Add Chuckie as the underdog and mix in the Tenn HFA, and you should get a great game. I think the line opened where it did because of the SEC (insert school name). The "public" will undoubtedly be on the Vols at less than a td, thats just the way it it. The total sitting right around 50 suggests those in the know think this will be a tight game with neither team pulling away. Looks like a 24-23 type game to me....
