I have faith in him. Might be misplaced, but I do. Denard Robinson gave Michigan an identity, when he left they needed to find a new identity and did not. Gardner was a QB turned WR and then back to QB. He made plenty of mistakes last year but overall was a damn good QB. This year I've him much better.
The O-line was real big problem last year and a lot of blame went to Borgus, the OC. This year Nussmeier has the OC position and has simplified blocking schemes. Time will tell.
Running back is a question mark. Green was freshman last year and came into camp way overweight. Rolled his ankle and never looked good. De'Veon Smith is much better and should be the guy who starts.
The defense was below standards last year so the D coaches have played musical chairs and switched the areas they coach. Not to sure about this one, but I have tremendous faith in Mattison. They are good at linebacker with depth. D-line should be ok, not great, and the secondary is to be more aggressive with less zone coverage.
New guys to watch; freshman Freddy Canteen at most likely slot receiver and of course, Jabrill Peppers in the D backfield, starting at nickle.
I have Michigan at 9-3 or 10-2 this year, BUT, I'm a Michigan fan so there's the bias factor! Try to be objective, but there will be bias!
Worried against App St that they won't cover. Expect Nussmeier to push the O-line and establish the run, thus more clock and lower scoring. Now I thought the same thing last year against Central Mi and got burned as Borgus spread them out and aired it out. I think that cost them, should have established toughness first.
See CG has the OSU game in Nov. at +11.5 for the Wolverines, I may take that one this weekend.

He could be an idiot, be he doesn't call the plays, he leaves that to the Asst. Coaches. So I'm not worried what he does. LOL
When I think of idiot coaches I think of repeated bad penalties, bad clock management, etc. This play at the end of the NW game last year tells me there is a well coached team there.

They were lucky to be 11-2 in 2011. A lot of rebuilding still needed. At least they are in the Big10 with a lot of weak opponents. They have a recent history of road game problems. The ND game will tell me what they are made of.
