Houston was scheduled to play Tennessee Tech on September 27th but Houston moved that game to next year to add UNLV for this year's schedule. That game will be September 20th at Houston. The Cougars were scheduled to play 2 fcs schools so by moving the Tennessee Tech game Houston will only have to win 6 games to be bowl eligible
UNLV won't have to cancel a game because they play at Hawaii they get the "Hawaii exemption". Any team who plays at Hawaii has the right to book a 13th game. UNLV of course got the APR postseason ban so by adding a 13th game it helps them and gives them an extra week of practice. UNLV will receive $400,000 for this game
I like it because there will be a spread for the Houston-UNLV game where as a game with Houston and Tennesee Tech wouldn't have a spread. So it gives us another potential game to bet. i have Houston going 8-4 and with the addition of a 13th game UNLV instead of finishing 3-9 i think they'll go 3-10
If you get the Phil Steele magazine white-out Tennesee Tech and add UNLV in that column.
Just trying to keep everyone informed Your thoughts guys

You really think you'll bet on this game?? I mean obviously the spread could be absurd or something but I almost threw up just reading the title lol. I usually watch moat games I bet on and I don't even know if I would watch this one is someone paid me.

well wheaty whether or not i have a bet on it obviously will depend on the spread. I just like having games with 2 FBS schools. It gets tiring with the Cupcake games with FCS schools and thats not going away any time soon

thanks for the info...I like fading UNLV on another away game already...Houston smokes weaker teams at their house. I have added this to the 9 27 watch list. Cheers
also, though I have Hoosiers in my handle, I am not an expert at Hoosier football. I will see if I can do some research over the next month and provide the forum with some insight on the Hoosiers...
Got my Lindy's, Athlon, USA Today and Sporting News college football rags... waiting for PS to ship in 3 days! Hook em

Haha I know man, I agree. I was just messing around. I mean if this is the only game on tv, I'll obviously watch it. But I watched one UNLV game last year and they were a tough team to watch. Hopefully this year will be different...
I agree with you about the cupcakes. I rarely even watch those games. There is no entertainment value or even real football value there.
On a completely different note. Did you happen to see the story on espn.com about Franklin "assisting" in high school camps down south??
