Ole Miss will be very good this season. I think they win 9 games at least. Betting them UNDER 8 @ -190 is an absolutely ridiculous bet, and anyone who bets it deserves to lose their money.

i bet 500 when it was even, they lose to vandy/A&M then lose to texas bama and LSU and will also lose to miss st cause egg bowl always goes to home team.

Ole Miss is going to smoke Vandy and Miss State, and will win one of the games between Texas A&M and LSU. They should have won both of those games last season.

Just because the line moved doesn't mean you are going to win the bet.
The best (safest) season win total bet on Ole Miss is to take OVER 8 @ +140. 5 Dimes currently has UNDER 8 @ -170. That is an absolutely ridiculous bet that has virtually no shot of cashing IMO.

Wallace has missed all spring, so the rust will be there and Vandy has won 6 of 8 and its at Vandy. Also malzahn is back at Auburn, i dont see them being anywhere near as bad. plus it sits right in the middle of that brutal stretch of texas bama A&M and LSU

Im not betting it but............
What the heck are you talking about Jimmy?
They have a brutal schedule....
@ Vandy...... should win 65% chance they win
@ Texas...... Loss I think they have about a 30 % chance to win that game
@ Bama 0% chance
Texas A&M They have about a 25 % chance
LSU They have about a 25% chance
at best they win 8 games............@ BEST
You have been a little out spoken and not yourself lately IMO...

. . . and Auburn's QB has never taken a snap as a DI QB.
Wallace knows Freeze's offense like the back of his hand. He'll be fine.
If Marshall can protect the football (something he wasn't able to do at the community college level), Auburn will be better offensively. Their defense will still not be very good however. And even though Auburn will have 2 weeks to prepare for Ole Miss, they still are going to win the game. Ole Miss is just a much better football team right now.
With the exception of my Week 1 bet on Ole Miss, I don't have a dog in the fight, so, I wish you the best of luck on your wager. Personally I think you are way underestimating how good Ole Miss will be this season. If your wager is UNDER 8 wins, I think your best case senario is a push. If Ole Miss beats Vandy in week 1, and I am supremely confident they will - I think your UNDER 8 wins is in trouble right out of the gate.

Betting any future @ -190 is a great bet for the book, and a terrible bet for the bettor. That said 5 Dimes has it currently at -170.
Ole Miss will win at least 8 games. Would not be shocked to see them finish 2nd in the SEC West.
Of course I agree that betting anything @-150 or more. You and I have had that conversation many times...
I was referring to you being so vocal about someone disagreeing with you on how many wins Ole Miss will have in general. I seen you very defensive on a few subjects lately.... maybe I'm wrong, but it just doesn't seem like you to to be so upset if someone disagrees with you.....
maybe I seen that because of the Driskel disagreement or whatever.....

I see 7.5 with my local now. Freeze is a terrific coach. The loses to LSU and Texas AM were last minute loses. They were a 6 win team in the regular season that should have won 8. This year they will be better with the number 1 HS recruit at D tackle and a very experienced offense. Also freeze is a master of the gadget play....
I would agree with jimmy here and I like the over. This is one of the best teams in the SEC. Don't be fooled by the uniform.

he always gets wild as he-ll before the games start.........takes him 1-2 weeks into the season to calm down.....................
Ole Miss schedule is not that bad.... *according to Steele...about nation's 34th toughest *and the 12th toughest in the SEC
@ Texas IMO....is a very winnable game SOFT as a babies azz in the trenches...watch out vs tough teams like the Rebels...Horns off road trip to BYU with Kan St on deck *likely 3-2 ?....going into a SIX game homestand maybe 4-1......2-3 possible sure
* vs LSU and A&M....they win 1/2.........IMO * maybe lose one they shouldn't....Mizzou with Egg Bowl in 5 days?...or maybe Miss St
I think 9-3.....8-4 could easily happen too..........
Wallace (should) be MUCH better....not worse *he played with a separated shoulder...at year's end his scapula completely separated from his clavicle....meaning his arm was just hanging there kinda....his scapula (shoulder bone) just floating around back there.......OUCH!.....of course he threw a buncha picks.....he had no business being out there
Humble when ambitious - gracious when successful - resilient when you fail.

I'm not sure of any other way to disagree with someone other than vocally. The OP is tacitly advocating a bet of UNDER 8 wins @ -190. I'm warning all those who read this post not to make such an idiotic bet. I don't do so for my benefit - I already know not to make such a bet. I do so for the benefit of others who click on this post and are easily swayed but nonsensical wagers such as this.
So no, I'm not being defensive, I'm being offensive - which is quite normal for me.

Excellent post, and I pretty much agree with everything you said - particularly your thoughts on Texas. As you well know, many people will look at last season's score and think that a Texas win is a foregone conclusion. I could not disagree more. I have posted in a couple of other threads saying that I think Ole Miss beats Texas. At the very least it is a "winnable" game as you say.

if Ash is healthy, texas will be favored. you can count on that.
advantage texas due to more proven players, coach, overall team, and home field.
take your fukking SEC goggles off.
ole miss *might win*, but at even odds, you would be nuts to say you think ole miss will win.
