I'll quote it "A&M has been a great story but they're gonna learn you don't walk into the SEC and win 10 games and not have to pay for it" He also said that it was better for Mizzou to take their lumps as they did LY. Manziel instead of trying to get better is getting in front of a every camera available. Why can't he work on his game. He's almost like a wrestler who has become his own gimmick.

AJ McCarron will have a better pro career than Manziel period end of story. Look back at A&M-Bama LY they scored 20 pts in the 1st qtr. 9 the rest of the way. i remember jimmydafreak saying after Bama lost to the Tebow gators in the SEC title game he spent the whole offseason to figure out Mullin's offense. I will respond to a few points made by posters in this thread.

Cam Newton, RG III, Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson have done a lot to revolutionize the QB position in the NFL. Therefore, I believe we can no longer assume that a pro-style QB will automatically have a better NFL career than a dual threat QB.

Furthermore, the future of NFL QBs frequently has a lot to do with opportunity. If McCarron is drafted by the Colts or the Packers, he would likely never see the field, and thus would not have the opportunity to blossom as a NFL QB. Therefore, without knowing what NFL team Manziel and McCarron end up on, I think it's impossible to predict either's NFL future with any degree of accuracy.

I have no problem with players having fun and having a little swag. There is, however, a fine line between swag and douchebagery, and I think many have perceived the Johnny Football self-promotion tour to have crossed that line on occasion. Consider his recent tweet where he said:

"Bullsh*t like tonight is a reason why I can't wait to leave college station...whenever it may be."

That said, I also don't think it's fair to say that just because someone goes out and has a little fun on their off-time that they are automatically not focusing on football. Is is not possible to do both??? I've seen several stories about Manzeil working on his game with a QB coach this off-season. So unless someone has some sort of inside information that Manziel is shirking his football responsibilities, people should not automatically assume the worst.

In college football when your school beats a rival school, the fan base of the winning school has earned 12 moths worth of bragging rights. The losers may not like it, but that's just the way it is. And when your school sits atop the college football world like Alabama does, every loss will not only be vociferously celebrated by the fan base of the victors, but by fans all across the nation. That's just what happens when you're on top. No one is celebrating victories over Kansas or Kentucky.

It is true that after losing to Florida in the 2008 SEC Championship Game, Saban exerted a significant amount of energy figuring out how to defend and defeat Tebow and Florida. And I can tell you with 100% degree of certainty that similar type of preparation is taking place with respect to Johnny Manziel and Texas A&M this off-season. We'll have to wait until September 14th to see whether the outcomes will be similar but, as for me, I will likely be betting heavily that they will be.

I was actually backing up your claim about Saban getting revenge after losses.LSU&#x27;s 2003 team was awesome but the other years they were basically hit or miss. In those other four years many times they were dogs in those revenge games, and except against Florida in 2001, they got their revenge.Saban seems to motivate his team when playing with revenge and I expect them to beat A&amp;M this year.
