Thanks, dude. Yes, I shall enjoy it while it lasts and borrowed time is bitter sweet....don't know about baseball (low revenue- just bragging stuff), but hoops and football are healthy as hell. Snyder is working with short time...but the time will be well spent. The pipeline is full.

How does KSU look at the QB position for this year?
Right now, it's Jake Waters vs Daniel Sams. Waters is an excellent passer and runs well. Sams runs like a gazelle (you can find some video of him), but can't pass like Waters. It will be a hell of a competition. There will be some growing pains, but they both look the part. Given the OL they're playing behind, either should do well as a first year starter.
My gut says Waters will win the job (though I have no idea)...even if he does, Sams will still be on the field.

Thanks Bud, I'm hoping they'll pick the guy who will make the best decisions on the field as well who bests protects the football. I like KSU this year.
Helping Kama'aina to beat their " Local " since 1994.

Spoken by a guy who knows what he's talking about. That is the guy that will win the job. Snyder is a shameless ball hawg and has no tolerance for avoidable turnovers. It's almost disgusting.

Hey Bud , Thought you'd like to know. Golden Nugget line on 6 / 7.
KSU - 21 1/2 vs KU ( at KU )
Dude...I don't know if you've seen my write-ups on this match up in the past...the books NEVER get it right . I especially like where this game is on the schedule. Lot of grass to mow between now and kickoff...but this is ALWAYS a huge money maker.
After the books take my money during the season...I'll get over on them on this game....once again.
In Snyder's prime years (which is where he is right now) they're off by 17 points.

and then got slaughtered by oregon in the fiesta bowl and lost to a 13 seed in their 1st men's hoops game of the tourney,
(yawn)
Slaughtered by Oregon? Dude...did you watch the game? As bad as KSU was in that game, they had multiple opportunities. Never took advantage for some strange reason. Bowl games were never Snyder's strong suit.
Whatever the case...total killer of a season and got a Big 12 crown....suck it!!!!!
Hoops...made the tourney...great season. I'll take it every time.
Broken record, bro....play it again!

would u put K St in the Top 25 to START the season ?
DU4Life...my good man! Top 25? Borderline...defense lost a lot...offense will be very good- by the time conference play starts. Hate to say the same old cliche, but time will tell.
Snyder has done very well in the past with a brand new QB...the OL will be as good as last season (make note of that- best Center in the conference, hands down...potential early round pick?). Klein was dynamite....but he was in his 2nd season. He couldn't throw for garbage...but the OL, RB's, and WR's were so good...they made him look good in the passing game. And he could read a defense as well as any QB I've ever seen. Add the running angle, and Snyder had exactly what he wanted in Klein.
Now we have:
Jake Waters and Daniel Sams at QB. Waters hasn't taken a single D1 snap...but I have to trust the film I've watched. IMO, he's got everything that Snyder wants. He does NOT throw INT's (see his juco stats) and he runs very well. Spring reports from returning WR's say it's another world...the speed on the ball and the anticipation of the ball.
Sams? Stud runner...can be made into a passer if the run game works ( he has a strong arm...but the run game will have to work for him to do business). He's nothing short of fireworks when he takes off. I will predict that Waters wins the job....if he does, and he's successful for his 2 seasons....you still have Sams left. How awesome is that?
All hinges on the defense if you ask me...let's see what Snyder has pieced together. LB's are a BIG question mark...secondary is a question mark...may not hurt too bad in the weak-behind Big 12.
Just be sure to save some $$$$$ and load up for the season ending KSU game @ KU. If you wish, I'll go pull up some of my past write-ups on this game. In your defined terms, it's mortgage stuff.
