Here's what Cowherd said basically word for word

"Go look at Alabama's schedule Oh the great Alabama here's their tough schedule. at Texas A&M early tough as heck Colorado State Georgia State at Kentucky Tennessee's a mess Chattanooga Mocs Auburn's a mess that's a real toughie"

"They get LSU at home. They don't have to play georgia they don't have to play Georgia! don't have to play florida don't have to play south carolina. 3 of the best teams in the SEC east aren't on the schedule and they face something called the Chattanooga Mocs"

"6 of those teams on the schedule are in the toilet. their toughest game is A&M. What do you know they've got a bye before it! because Saban runs the conference by the way they get a bye before the LSU game. So they get a bye before their 2 biggest games. Saban runs that conference he does. He doesn't have to play Florida again doesn't have to play georgia again doesn't have to play south carolina again. Any time Nick needs a bye it magically appears"

I'm not a Bama fan nor am i a Bama hater but i will give you their full schedule

8/31 Virginia Tech in Atlanta

9/7 BYE

9/14 at Texas A&M

9/21 HM Colorado State

9/28 HM Ole Miss

10/5 HM Georgia State

10/12 at kentucky

10/19 HM Arkansas

10/26 HM Tennessee

11/2 BYE

11/9 HM LSU

11/16 at Mississippi State

11/23 HM UT-Chattanooga

11/30 At Auburn

It's a convinent schedule they SHOULD go undefeated . I'm not doing my predictions right now{I'll do each conference in august} but i think every SEC team will lose at least 1 conference game. I don't see Bama losing to A&M or LSU.

Anyways guys your thoughts

Ohio State's?
Oregon?
Tree?
A&M?
NDame?
Fla?......here yes
Louisville?
S Caro?
Georgia?....probably
Clemson?

Cowherd is a whiny pseudo- intellectual basterd that suckers in the weak minded.....we are a nation that now shuns competition ....praises failure....regards stupidity as a virtue..........
*wanna hate Bama and Saban?......because they basically out work everybody?...his/their aggressiveness piss you off?............>> better check your pants to make sure your NUTS are still there you  p u s s.....

They play Va Tech at a neutral site. Give them credit for scheduling that. I think if you are in a major conference you should schedule only (1) big non-conference game.

As far as the SEC East schools they are scheduled to play...that is on a rotating basis which is pre-determined except for Tennessee, which is their East rival they get every year. It just so happens the schools they get are the ones at the bottom and the ones they don't have to play are the ones on top right now.

The fact that Bama has a bye before A&M and LSU is ??? Is Saban coercing the SEC??? I don't think either side will admit that.

I'm no fan of Bama, and certainly no fan of Saban, but Cowherd's argument doesn't hold much water.

It is a little silly for a program like bama to schedule Georgia St. & UT-Chat in the same season.........but sec teams have been doing that for years..........along with the 8 home/4 away type scheduling. I did some research a couple years ago & found that the only MNC team that really scheduled with some balls was..........wait for it...........USC. Over a 5-6 year period 80% of their non-conf games were vs other BCS teams......several on the road. I think Ohio St. was at 15%........no other team was at or above 50%. I remember posting those facts in a similar thread & getting no reactions.........no surprise really.

Alabama is & has been the best team in the country for a couple years............the SEC has been the best conf. in the country for several years............no real way to argue that even if you think they schedule soft ooc.

I know where Double Up is coming from with the Miss St prediction.

Bama has a bye before they play LSU
Miss St gets Bama after they play LSU

The Bama/LSU game is always hard hitting on both sides.

Well Ronnie you can say the same thing about Georgia

In 2011 Georgia avoided Alabama,LSU and Arkansas out of the west.

in 2012 they avoided Alabama,LSU,Arkansas,Texas A&M and Mississippi state who were Phil Steele's projected top 5 in the west! Now we know Arkansas stunk and Ole Miss was better but still

I heard on the radio the other day that enrollment@Bama has gone up 33% since Saban arrived, faculty has gone up from 400 to 1700 and the Univ  of Alabama has 52% out of state undergraduate students.Bama has a Qb returning with 3 rings,Heisman candidate Rb in Yeldon,at least 2 Wr s that will be selected in 1st 2 rounds and the core of their defense back.I still dont think they will 3peat just for the fact they have had everything go their way the last 2 seasons.Im an SEC guy,but I think this is finally gonna be the year the SEC puts each other out..I laugh at Colin how he tries to tell people how goodlooking he is and  brags about how he DIDNT finish college..like all of us that did are just DUMB SUCKERS..That Sports Nation show is horrible right there will that tool Michael Smith s show Numbers Never Lie.           Its not like Bama just crushed everybody last year..they couldve easily have lost to LSU or Georgia.Lots of people act like CFB is Bama then everybody else..Im not one of them.Bama finds a way to seize the opportunity.Im not too concerned about VaTech..I think Beamer has lost his passion for the game.Personally,I dont know how anybody can say any team has a soft schedule in the SEC West..its mind boggling.TexasA&m has argueably the most exciting player in CFB returning in years with a coach that knocked off Saban his 1st yr..I dont care if the Aggies have 5 starters returning they are gonna be damn good,LSU just reloads, but I do think this will be a down yr in Baton Rouge.Ole Miss hit Bama right in the mouth last yr and has a great chance of challenging everybody.Arky and Auburn are mystery teams, but u can bet 1 of them will be good.MissSt goes bowling every yr..lets just look at the coaches..Saban-best coach since the Bear & is projecting better,Miles has a ring& played for 2,Malzahn of Auburn was 2010 S.I.Man of Year with many thinking he has the best off mind in football,Sumlin has brought nothing but excitement to Texas A&m ..If the Aggies show even close of the progress the showed from beginning of last yr to the end in year 1 to 2 -WOW..Arky coach Billemna has multiple Big 10 titles/RoseBowls.He came to Fayettville for that paper.Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze has the best recruiting class in school history. The class is so good people are accusing him cheating.Freeze team took Texasa&m to overtime last yr and shouldve beat LSU..MissSt s Dan Mullen has defeated Auburn,Georgia,Florida,Michigan in his 4 yrs,,something has been done much in Starkeville much before he got there..I will even go this far..The SEC West has the greatest collection of coaches in any conference history outside the SEC..and we arent even including Spurrier,Richt or Muschamp..Im sorry I cant call Richt a clown when he was 10 yards away from knocking off the champs..If anybody wants to tell me a better group of coaches in one conference Id like to hear it.Maybe Im wrong..There are 6 teams in the SEC that are capable of playing in BCS Chanpionsgip-Bama,TexasA&M,Georgia,South Carolina and yes even OleMiss and Florida..Do yall feel real confident that NotreDame would beat any of these teams?I dont and NotreDame could go undefeated again...I DONT think the SEC is so much better than everyone else.OhioSt,Oregon,Clemson,Stanford,Irish will be very good.Bama is 1 injury to AJ to being brought back to earth or Saban retiringlol.I cant possibly see all these redneck Bama fans celebrating again, but if they are playing Big10 Buckeyes got to pull for Bamam

LOL

Wasn't it Alabama that just a couple years ago had to face 5 consecutive opponents that had byes the prior week? Did Saban not yet get enough control of the SEC?

Schedules are quirky. As long as you let college football teams schedule their own games, you'll get things like this, both good and bad. Like someone alluded to earlier, Cowherd (who I like) does this for ratings. And like Train mentioned, they didn't make this schedule up yesterday.

MUGG has it right re: OOC scheduling among recent champions - only USC has/had the cojones to schedule really challenging home and homes on a regular basis - and not just one OOC game, but two (three if you count ND, tho admittedly the Irish weren't that good in some years). Some might argue they have to with the 'soft' Pac-10/12.  I disagree; in their heyday under Carroll they were kicking everyone OOC and dropping a game to a PAC team.  Very hard to go thru the PAC unblemished, yet they still schedule the tough OOC competition. Glad to see Bama start to do it with teams like Va Tech, but still think the Georgia States and Chattanoga's belong nowhere on their schedule. Not just Bama, btw, throughout the SEC and other BCS conference teams...

Get a clue!!  LOOK at LSU'S 2011 Schedule!  The reason USC can schedule decent out of conference games is because their conference SUX!!!  Let USC or Oregon or some of these other PUZZIES come play a whole SEC SCHEDULE!! Play BAMMER LSU AND FLORIDA all in a row and get that azz DRILLED!!
