Interested to see people's opinions on this... I don't see them losing a game all year. Only two teams that can compete with this team are Oregon and OSU. This team reminds me a lot of the Miami teams in the early 2000's (Loaded)

Ohio State will get crushed by Bama. Period. Their first win vs. the SEC was in 2010?
Who can beat them?
VT in a neutral site game should be an easy Bama win.
They could lose @Texas A&M but won't.
They have LSU @home and @Mississippi State.

Those are the only possible losses for them besides the SECT game IMHO.

They will have the best offense in the nation.  They will be virtually unstoppable on that side of the ball.

Jimmy - thanks for the takes on Bama!   I am already considering them in week 1.   I think VT will be improved, but these is the type of high profile game at Atlanta where Nick will want to set the tone for the season.  Question - Bama has 2 OL's coming back, that's 2 out of 5.   I know they have tons of depth, good coaches and a good system, but do you think the new starters (3 new OL starters) have had enough playing time, to play at a high level in week 1 against VT?     Anticipating the spread, Bama ended up 24 higher than Bama at the end of last season (Sagarin)...some think it will be 14 to 17.   Thanks in advance for your takes...

Just read you think oregon and ohio st are only teams that can beat BAMMER???  How damn dumb are you??  LSU and GA had those LUCKY Fu ckers beat and gave it to them!!  BAMMER plays a weak azz schedule and has for years if they played the best teams in SEC they wouldnt have 2 GIVE ME  SO CALLED CHAMPIONSHIPS!!  They got another easy schedule this year skip better teams in SEC except 2(just like last year) I dont think it will matter this year though THE RUNTS FREE RIDE IS OVER!!!

Its not hard to be DOMINATE when every team you play besides 2 SUCKS!!!  Can they DOMINATE those 2 decent teams  NOT YET!!!  Would they Dominate the other good teams in SEC if they played them  DONT THINK SO!! Did they Dominate LSU(No other way around) A&M nope got spanked at HOME IN NOVEMBER FOR 3rd year in a row!!  Georgia nope got lucky to survive!!  So if your asking will BAMMER dominate PUZZY TEAMS  the answer is YES!!  If your asking will they dominate good teams the answer is HELL NO WHY WOULD THEY START NOW NEVER HAVE!!

Of course the offensive line will suffer a drop-off from last season, but the likely replacements have been in the system for 4, 4 (or 5) & 3 years respectively, so they'll be plugging in very experienced guys.  I've watched their first two scrimmages this spring, and I thought they looked really good.  Adding Mario Cristobal as the new o-line coach was huge too.  He's a fantastic coach.

The biggest thing I can tell you about the offensive line is that Saban appears to be very confident in that unit, and has expressed his confidence on more than one occasion.  I will add that the two returning starters will both be playing on Sundays next year.  Cyrus Kouandjio will most likely forgo his senior season and be the first tackle selected in the 2014 draft, and Anthony Steen will probably go fairly high in the draft as well, so it's not as if the cupboard is bare.

Ryan Kelly appears to have locked down the center position, and Austin Shepherd appears to be the man at right tackle.  There is a battle at left guard between Cyrus' brother Arie, and Kellen Williams.  Right now I would give Williams a slight edge.

Offensive is what will distinguish this team from their recent national championship-winning predecessors.  With world-class athletes all over the field, Alabama's offense is primed to shift into turbo mode this season.  It will be interesting to see where Phil Steele ranks Alabama's receivers as a unit, but I think they are the best group in the nation.

Alabama may not end the season as the #1 statistical offense in the nation due to Saban's propensity to take his foot off the gas in the 2nd half of games, but they'll probably be the most difficult offense in the country to stop.  Look for McCarron to be in serious contention for a Heisman trophy at season's end.

From top-to-bottom this will probably be Saban's most complete team yet (a scary thought for opposing teams I'm sure).  If Saban can keep this group well-grounded, I don't see anyone in the country stopping them.  They should not lose a game.

I'm thinking of a line in the 17-18 point range for their opening game against Virginia Tech.  I'd be surprised if the line got above 3 TDs.  Regardless, the outcome should be a Hokies bloodbath.

No Jimmy.... The Best offense in the country lives in Clemson S.C.

Alabama's offense will be good. But Not nearly on the level of a Clemson. As matter of fact... the best offense in the SEC isn't Alabama...it's Georgia.

What am I missing here???

I am a huge Bama and SEC fan and I have meticulously capped this team for a few weeks now. I have them going 8-4 with a best case scenario of 9-3.  And I am rarely wrong.

My Hurricanes will have a great offense this year

We return every single starter on offense besides Mike James who was being replaced by Duke Johnson as the season went on anyway
