I have heard at least 100 times that now they have Urban Meyer's recruits they can compete with the SEC.  That they were 12-0 ranked #3 in his first season, so they can only get better.  A Las Vegas Power Ranking would've had them closer to #15th or even #20th.

Even if Urban Meyer has amazing recruiting classes they wont be the core of the team for a couple seasons.  The core of last years team was Tressel's guys.  And the core of this team was recruited during that period of uncertainty, would tressel stay or go, would the players be suspended, would the team be on probation?

Add an easy schedule to the previously mentioned misperceptions and ohio st is only 6-1 to win it all and will be preseason top 5.  A more realistic power ranking is around #12. Doesn't mean their an automatic fade, they will put big margins on the weaklings.  But prob find themselves in a real grind a little more often than you'd expect against the middle of the pack big 10 teams

NO Way should they be 6-1...

in the Championship game they would be Likely a +350 Dog to a SEC Squad

Might win the BIG10 , but there is NO Value in taking them to win the BCS

All the close games will catch up to them for sure.

There schedule is redicuosly easy. Could go 12-0 for sure. At Michigan to end year is toughest game. At cal, at Purdue are borderline tough. But get Wisconsin and penn st at home.

Who says they will play an sec school for title? Last year they spank ND in the title game if no post season ban. (Yes they would have won B1G title game)

Notre Dame would have been salivating for that matchup and added another National Title.

im just happy that the year they use up all their luck and go 12-0 was one when they couldn't play for anything.  2-3 losses is right on, just make Miller throw it and you will get same result you got with Pryor

I agree, played a lot of close games with some favorable breaks in most of them for it not to catch up to them.
