Their gonna have a really long year. I love the hire of sonny dykes but it will be a long year. Their qb's all have weak arms plus a brutal schedule. Just my 2 cents

Thanks for the info.  Im having trouble getting a handle on Cal next season.  The recruiting classes are consistently ranked 25-30ish nationally and the program sends a lot of guys to the pros, so the talent is there.  The progressively worse results make me think the coach was a problem.  I kinda expect a more competitive cal this season

you know face i thought that way too but the problem for Dykes this year is the schedule its brutal. If he gets to a bowl with that schedule he should be the mayor of berkley. They're going to try to run 90 plays a game ala what he did at La.Tech. I think Dykes will be a huge success eventually but not this year

I saw a tad of the spring game on pac 12 network on dish they're showing all of the spring games. FYI i'm not huge spring football guy call me in august and i'll be ready

not many outside of skill guys, and they were from 5-8 yrs ago when tedford really recruited well.

desean jackson, marshan lynch, aaron rodgers, etc,

this draft has their WR allen but who else that is considered a top 2 rounds pick??

tedford did not recruit well the past 3 years.

cal will fall back before the move forward, that is for sure..

Mebane, AluAlu, DeCoud, Cameron Jordan all good defensive players from the last few years.

diminishing returns on recruiting killed tedford,

crappy offenses the last few years,

defenses getting worst every year,

Stanford recruiting under harbaugh and now shaw has KILLED cal and tedford

still the only thread you started in 13+ months at covers under your new SAF:

http://www.covers.com/postingforum/post01/showmessage.aspx?spt=22&sub=100979294

you predicted SPURS and CELTICS to the 2011 NBA finals,

spurs as #1 seed lose in 1st round and celtics get smashed 4 gms to 1 in 2nd rd to the heat

Decoud drafted in 2008, played last at Cal in 2007

Jordan drafted in 2011 so played at Cal in 2010.

so, from 2010 to 2012, the last 3 years that did in Tedford, only one guy on the list (Cameron Jordan).

one guy in 2009, and the other two from exactly what i said:  5-8 years ago.

LETS TALK ABOUT THE CAL OFFENSIVE PLAYERS IN THE NFL THAT WERE DRAFTED THE LAST 5 YEARS

I'LL WAIT

Tedfod known as a QB and offensive guru his entire career but such poor QB play and offense for quite a few years now,

packers, i've got a stalker who hates his impoverished, destitute life so much that he takes my internet persona of chest-thumping, very seriously i will continue to verbally slice and dice him until he kills himself and helps the world with his riddance (i mean that).

anyhow, in terms of weak-armed cal quarterbacks, you are correct, they are noodle-armed and in fact the last several years since aaron rodgers skipped town, this has been the case.

Zach kline was the #4 rated Qb out of high school.  Started in the under-armour game.  Those kinda guys might become busts, but they definitely don't have "noodle arms"

kline might be the real deal, the last several qbs they have started after rodgers have been pretty weak in terms of arm talent

what do these guys have to do with Manti when he's never even played a fukking down in the NFL yet, LOL. the poster who said these names made it seem like they're all pros or something. they're not, they are good players but not household names.

Mebane, AluAlu, DeCoud, Cameron Jordan

did ND reject your undergrad application or something?

your hard-on for Manti and ND is epic, and also very sad,

i cannot stand ND since i am a Mich diehard fb fan since '81,

but you take the cake of anti-domers,

something is psychologically wrong w/you to take hatred to this level

Is Haloti Ngata a household name?  What about London Fletcher?

How many household names are there on the defense side of the ball in the NFL?  Maybe 3.

Here are two more defenders from the last 2 drafts .

Michael Kendricks had 75 tackles at LB for Philly as a rookie.

Chris Conte has 24 starts in 2 years at DB for the Bears

Ngata and Fletcher have played in pro bowls,

definitely bigger names then the names mentioned here:   Mebane, AluAlu, DeCoud, Cameron Jordan

and Ngata a household name for sure
