what can i say?  when a biased fool (or 5) says something wrong that is clearly based on bias and hate not on actual talent/fact, then i have to point it out, and 80%+ of the time i am right about it in the end.  happens all the fukking time in my social circle when we talk sports and right here with some of you buffoons as well. 4 out of 5 is pretty fukking good if you ask me when it comes to opinions about current events and how they will unfold.

anyone thinking (and there are plenty of them here) that Manti is dropping out of the 1st rd because of this, simply has no clue about the NFL draft process.  i have only watched 32 nfl drafts from 1981 through 2012 so what do i know?  (yes it is 32 when you include 1981 and 2012 and everything in between)

anyhow, i posted 4 - 0 - 1 ATS in the NFL forum (look it up) on divisional and championship playoff.  here's my SB pick:

from ESPN re the Dr. Phil interview of Tuisasopo..  more evidence in Teo's favor.   he is a FIRST ROUND pick.  period

In an interview with Dr. Phil McGraw that will air Thursday, Ronaiah Tuiasosopo says the voice of Manti Te'o girlfriend Lennay Kekua was his and that the star Notre Dame linebacker had no role in the hoax.

Here we have a young man that fell deeply, romantically in love. I asked him straight up, 'Was this a romantic relationship with you?' And he says yes. I said, 'Are you then therefore happy?' And he said, 'When you put it that way, yes.' And then he caught himself and said, 'I am confused.'

-- Dr. Phil McGraw, on Ronaiah Tuiasosopo

The first of a McGraw's two-part interview with Tuiasosopo will air Thursday on the "Dr Phil Show." McGraw appeared Wednesday morning on NBC's "Today" show, which aired two clips of the Tuiasosopo interview.

"There were many times when Manti and Lennay have broken up," Tuiasosopo said, "but something would bring them back together, whether it was something going on in his life or Lennay's life or in this case my life."

McGraw said Tuiasosopo told him he fell deeply in love with Te'o and that for Tuiasosopo it was a romantic relationship.

"Here we have a young man that fell deeply, romantically in love," McGraw told NBC. "I asked him straight up, 'Was this a romantic relationship with you?' And he says yes. I said, 'Are you then therefore happy?' And he said, 'When you put it that way, yes.' And then he caught himself and said, 'I am confused.' "

McGraw told NBC that Te'o "absolutely, unequivocally" wasn't involved in the hoax.

One theory for the hoax is that Te'o was trying to cover up a guy relationship. In her TV interview with Te'o last week, Katie Couric asked him if he was happy.

"No, far from it," he said. "Faaaaarrrr from it."

Tuiasosopo told McGraw that as Te'o became more famous he knew that the online hoax he started more than 2 years ago was going to blow up.

Tuiasosopo said: "I wanted to end it because after everything I had gone through I finally realized that I just had to move on with my life and had to get ... you know my real me Ronaiah ... I just had to start living and let this go."

McGraw said he spent time with Tuiasosopo and his parents.

"Ronaiah had a number of life experiences that damaged this young man in some very serious ways," he said.

As Notre Dame rose to No. 1 in the AP Top 25, sport writers nationwide recounted the story of the heroic, grieving athlete who persevered on the field after his "girlfreind" was diagnosed with leukemia and died. Te'o and his family provided them with plenty of stories about the relationship, and no one figured out it was fiction until Deadspin.com broke the story earlier this month.

Te'o, in his interview with Couric, reiterated that he lied about his online girlfriend after the Dec. 6 phone call indicated that she may be alive, while maintaining that he had no part in creating the hoax.

The interview, which aired on Couric's syndicated television show, put Te'o and his parents in front of television cameras for the first time since the incident.

Te'o told a story similar to the one he told in a previous off-camera interview with ESPN's Jeremy Schaap -- namely, that he believed Kekua had died of cancer in September, but he was confused by the Dec. 6 phone call in which she claimed to be alive.

Pressed by Couric to admit that he was in on the deception, Te'o said that he believed Kekua had died of cancer and that he didn't conceal the truth that she didn't exist until December.

"Katie, put yourself in my situation. I, my whole world told me that she died on Sept. 12. Everybody knew that. This girl, who I committed myself to, died on Sept. 12," Te'o said. The Heisman Trophy runner-up said he only learned of the hoax when he received the phone call in December from a woman saying she was Kekua.

"Now I get a phone call on Dec. 6, saying that she's alive, and then I'm going be put on national TV two days later. And to ask me about the same question. You know, what would you do?" Te'o said.

The woman whose photo was used as the "face" of the Twitter account of Te'o's supposed girlfriend, said last week that Tuiasosopo confessed and apologized to her.

Diane O'Meara told the "Today" show that Tuiasosopo used pictures of her without her knowledge in creating Kekua.

"Just watch Dr Phil today." - interesting.

Is the draft over? Lets wait and see what happens in real life and not on dr Phil, ok?

He's a liar - no two ways about it. I only said he's out of the top 10 and I'll stand by that. His tenure will be less than 3.5 years.

Calm down doubleup. You have never told a lie? Whatever. Manti is better than 95% of the garbage we have on the bills anyways.Nothing else we do works. Take him. In fact, I hope we take him soley that it makes you mad for no apparent reason

Hes gonna get drafted in the 1st round and be a flop. A waste of a pick (that high, would consider in the 5th round or later) for sure.

it may as well be.  BARRING major injury, the guy is not slipping out of the 1st round.  i am not saying he is deserving of a 1st round selection in a normal draft, but this year is not normal.  the talent level out there is not the same as year's prior.  there is no other MLB out there close to him, not even close.

you can hate all you want because you are a LSU fan and SEC fan, but the facts are what the facts are.

again, for the hundredth time, anyone who thinks this "scandal", "hoax", whatever you want to call it, will supercede his first round draft potential, is absolutely clueless.  the tangibles like size, speed, football instincts, are too strong with this kid.

can anybody find a reputable sports website that has a mock draft where Manti is NOT projected 1st round?

(hint, I'll wait if you need me to)

And he runs a 4.81 40 at the combine. They had two lineman over 300 lbs run faster than that!!! He is slow and proved it. He also didn't lift so who knows how strong he is. Over rated. Notre Dame also listed him as 6'2" 255lbs and he measured 6'1" 241 lbs. Yes lots of teams list players like that but he will not go first round now. No way. Besides getting pushed around he can't run with TE's in the NFL.

3 rd round talent at best.

Osirus. - fuk off- Jimmy is well respected around here and you post nothing but trash. If you think college football is such crap then get the hell off of the forums. Douche bag!

You shut yourself up when you refused to bet whether he'll be a 1st round selection or not.  You can blow Te'o all day long, but until you put your money where your mouth is, you have zero credibility.

Teo is a small, weak, slow headcase who can't tackle, and won't be drafted in the 1st round.  Sorry to shatter your fragile self esteem.

You can get some of this "Manti T'eo won't go in the first round" action too.

T'eo is a media creation, and I said it before the title game.  Many people get waaaaaay to wrapped up in the media hype.  They don't understand that ESPN has a game to sell to the public, and their good at doing just that.
