Georgia at Clemson

Should be a great game with Murray and Boyd.

LSU versus TCU

Should be a good game. LSU losing defensive talent while the game is being played in Arlington.

Virginia Tech versus Alabama

It won't matter at all. But will Logan Thomas be here? Alabama losing a lot on the offensive line.

North Carolina at South Carolina

Give me Bernard and Clowney!

Mississippi State versus Oklahoma State

Mississippi State started the season strong last year and then fell off. Russell against Lunt should be  interesting.

Mississippi at Vanderbilt

Should be a great game....both programs coming off of bowl wins.

Louisiana Monroe at Oklahoma

Why not? Bell will more than likely be the quarterback. ULM will probably hang somewhat close.

Ohio at Louisville

Bridgewater for Heisman? Louisville should have some mojo after a big win against Florida. Tettleton will be back for Ohio.

Northwestern at California

Northwestern had a very impressive season and I think they will get the win here.

Boise State at Washington

They just ended the season...and will start the season against each other.

Northern Illinois at Iowa

Lynch might lead his to team to victory this time around.

Temple at Notre Dame

ND struggles against the not so top notch teams. Will Brian Kelly be here?

Penn State versus Syracuse

Why not add this to the list?

Rutgers at Fresno State

Still can't believe Fresno lost to SMU lol. Should be a good game here.

I think Hoke is a very good coach i think he's a great recruiter. I have a few faults with him like why didn't Gardner come in for Denard in the Nebraska game. Not that it would've mattered but throwing Bellomy in? I've said the day he was hired year 3 was the year for Michigan and i believe they will do great things

But if they win october 12th i'll be ecstatic

Is Gardner that good?

Ohio State 11/20 171
Iowa 18/23 314
Northwestern 16/29 286
Minnesota 12/18 234
South Carolina 18/36 214

Does good against Iowa and Minnesota teams not so good.
Northwestern had a solid game but the pass defense isn't good at all for the Wildcats.

Struggled against good teams such as Ohio State and South Carolina.

Add to the fact he went 3-2. Northwestern should have won the game but didn't, easily could have been 2-3...however they could have beaten South Carolina as well so I will give that a wash.

packers comments about an off the radar penn st michigan game on october 12 says it all...i mean how much does that guy hate penn state, holy cow. pure and utter hatred!!  i have never seen 2 people, you and double up hate a school so much.  the two of you hate them so much its crazy.  its eerily similar your hate!  it never stops coming out of your mouth.

glad it comes out, after years of posturing, that you are indeed a michigan fan, despite your saying you have no allegiances.  surprisingly, most michigan fans like penn state and wish them well, its the spartan fans that do not.

but honestly, if penn state gets a qb to play under BOBs system by then, psu will probably win with the skill players on that team.

and if the ncaa didnt screw us allowing michigan and ohio state didnt steal half our recruits the last two years, it wouldnt even be a ball game.  so we will work shorthanded again and hold down the fort for when the lawsuits kick in or sanctions end to still have a good program.

that way hackenberg, breneman and the rest of the kids coming in will be playing in the rose bowl before they leave.

either way, i will be there october 12, supporting the kids that stayed with the program, like i was on senior day when we capped the year with a 8 win season and sent the seniors out on a high note.  no bowl game could recreate that atmosphere!!

what a year it was after the rocky start.  to think, they probably would've been in the rose bowl if not for the ncaa poking their nose where they shouldnt, playing against Stanford the only other national university never cited by the ncaa for illegal benefits and sanctions to student athletes.

PSU vs Cuse will be played at New Meadowlands

With Nassib and Marrone departing, this should be interesting, would have to favor PSU though they are breaking in a new starter.  (So. Bench, Juco transfer Ferguson) Hackenberg will redshirt unless he is leaps and bounds better as frosh.

thisguyiswise - Penn State will be fine. Pennslyvania is a better state than Michigan for football recruits. I have to admit, I was surprised with the record Penn State had this past season. Michigan isn't the greatest away from home either. This past season any solid opponent Michigan played away from the Big House they lost. Alabama, Notre Dame, Nebraska, and Ohio State. Penn State for sure has a chance to beat Michigan. Add to the fact that the game is October 12th the team chemistry will probably be getting better as each week passes by. Penn State almost always has a solid front seven and Michigan isn't the greatest through the air. In contrast, Michigan runs defense is mediocre at best.

Michigan run versus Penn State run defense: Advantage Penn State

Last season, Penn State wasn't the greatest running the ball on offense but should be able to against the Wolverines. I expect a close game. Also, nice to see O'Brien staying at Penn State. Good luck to your program in 2013.

thanks edge, if obrien actually stays a while many people, namely my michigan friends feel penn state has the opportunity to field a top 10 program once sanctions get out.  obviously a big IF, but the fact he stayed through to see Hackenberg and Breneman get there was huge.
actually was impressed with their run game last year with zwinak, who ran for 1000 yards in about 8 games.  the o line pretty much returns too, its all about the qb as both starting wrs return and robinson is a beast and all of the tight ends are back, a huge deal in this offense.

the d line may be a work in progress especially inside, but like you said they always find players there, barnes on the edge was a frosh all american, should be fine there.  linebackers lose heart and sould in mauti and hodges but return MLB Carson to go with part time player and Sean Lee clone Mike Hull.  The secondary returns 3 of 4 and should be strong at safety, while depth at corner is a big concern but Amos is a stud.

if they get good qb play or even mediocre and with obrien coaching them up they should, they could win 9 or 10 games with that schedule and as weak as the big 10 looks.  In fact, if they didnt win at least 7 i would be shocked, barring injuries.

Hopefully Sparty can play a better brand of football this year, i know losing Sims and Bell on O wont help and some key losses like Adams and Gholston on D, but are you optimistic?  The Terry QB they got as a recruit was recruited by PSU but they stopped once they got Hack, he should be good for the future.

The Big 10 is always better when Sparty and UofM are playing top level football with Ohio St and Penn St.

Unfortunately, due to circumstances, right now it looks like the Ohio St show for the next few years, until Urb calls it quits and maybe PSU gets some sanctions lifted.

good luck to you as well.

Hey wise you only show up when i say something you don't like. Look to you and edge if Michigan doesn't destroy Penn state hoke should lose his job. If the game is close not good enough for me. i want a destrcution.

wise why does it matter what i say. If you don't like what i say don't comment. Look wise this isn't up for debate you will lose the game october 12th.

I've always hated your school wise. Its always lookedlike a creepy type of place. Eerie like a scary movie

You think Bill O brien will lead a top 10 program when the sanctions are done With Al Golden? YES With a schmuck like O Brien Hell NO!. If that happens i'll walk to creepy Valley and kiss Bill O Brien's A$$

FYI lets get this straight

#1 I'm not a michigan fan not a fan of any team

2. wise and edge i picked Penn state to finish higher thananyone on this site. Hey wise your own said i was nuts to pick them for 6-6

So involving Penn state last year i was right wise i was right. You shouldto me for being right. I should get free meals in creepy valley for picking them this high. Build me a statue

The losses of Bell and Sims will hurt. Maxwell wasn't consistent throughout the whole season but the wide receiver core was young. Losing two offensive linemen early in the season didn't help. I would love to see either Terry or O'Connor become the starting quarterback next season. I don't really know what to expect offensively from State this upcoming season. I'm looking forward to Cox the safety from Pennslyvania take the field this fall. I think you're right though, Ohio State and then everyone else. Penn State should be fine this upcoming season. They might start slow, but will be improving as the season goes on.

Double Up, i am done talking with you about it, you hate penn state, i get it, the town is full of creeps, we are all child molesters, on and on.  u got it!  obrien is an awful coach, golden should have been hired, even though that would be you supporting a former psu player and alum, and a guy who idolizes paterno and always has by wearing a shirt and tie and black sneakers.  sheesh i cant keep up anymore.  i am just waiting for the large multi colored font to come out now.  framingpaterno.com for more perspective to help you out.

edge, sparty seems to be in a bit of rebuild mode, i know the feeling, its not that fun but over time it will work out.  really wanted cox to end up at psu, but that jerry guy had to hang around so there went that.  if your rebuilding years are 7 plus win seasons though, that is huge for recruiting.
