Rest of conference = meh.
But congrats to Bama. They looked absolutely insane last night. A whole different level of team. |

Point is that a team or two does not make for the dominance that SEC homers want to believe |

The big 12 is a better conference from top to bottom than the SEC?
Thank you. That statement tells us everything we need to know about you.

I agree with the post. top to bottom yes. The SEC shouldn't take credit for Alabama dominance. If tex am didn't join the SEC homers wouldn't give them any credit. Bama is on a whole level higher than the rest imo.

#10 Posted: 1/8/2013 9:23:36 PM Um LSU beat A and M. Rest of the conference certainly isn't meh but this is definitely a down year for the SEC
That's when you know you're the best conference. When a down year is 6-3 in bowls and a national championship victory
Did you say the big 12?
That conference legit plays NO defense. NONE
Nobody respects the big 12 |

#11 Posted: 1/8/2013 9:56:26 PM yes I did say the big 12. It is a stupid argument anyways but I guess I did start it so it is my fault. But...
how quickly we forget that this year the SEC had Kentucky, Vandy, Tenn, ARK, Ole Miss, Miss St, Auburn, Missouri
Some decent and some terrible.
As I said, At the top there is absolutely zero comparison but top to bottom then there is a conversation |

Vandy and Ole Miss would beat more Big 12 teams than they would lose to. |

Outside of Kansas and maybe Iowa St and maybe Texas Tech I am not sure who they would beat.
Anyways it really doesn't matter. |

I realize that you guys are oozing jealousy and hatred and want to trash the SEC after they won their 7th straight BCS national championship, but when the best you can come up with is the big 12 is better then that should probably tell you something about how weak your argument is.

I think most knowledgeable people would agree with that.
Vandy went 9-4 in the hardest conference in college football and this joker is acting like they went 2-10 in Conference USA.
And Ole Miss didn’t have a great season by any means, but I’d take them over any other .500 team in the country. Just ask A&M how good they are.
There’s a reason why there are so many bowl games where something like the #6 team from the SEC plays the #3 team from another conference and the SEC continues to have a winning bowl record.

As are you and all the other SEC-haters.
It will be amusing when, down the road, the SEC finally fails to win the championship and all you haters can regale us with claims of how a conference that’s won 8 of the last 9 National Championships with 4-5 different teams sucks.

again -- like always, you prove my point. I am talking about top to bottom. The top of the SEC is head over heals better but the rest of the conference is not.
that is all.
I anticipate your usual spin |

Presby Missouri Auburn Mass Kentucky Ole Miss Tenn Wake NC State
My apologies. Vandy has skins on the wall.

What a surprise. More spin from you.
I never claimed Vandy was an elite team. I was pointing out that Vandy isn’t the 2-10 conference USA team you are making them out to be.

#23 Posted: 1/9/2013 12:24:13 PM LSU loses to the eventual NC in the last minute of the game and beat to other team you say is awesome on the road but they are "meh".
Jealousy is strong in this one. Enjoy the off season. Keep telling yourselves that OSU and the likes can compete - not happening. |

LSU falls somewhere between Meh and awesome (although more on the Meh side)
never said OSU can compete with the top dogs in the SEC. Just said that top to bottom... |

#25 Posted: 1/9/2013 10:25:42 PM SEC no doubt the top conference. This shouldn't even be up for debate.
How many more national titles do they need to win in a row... |
