This is my first point.  I will admit.  I was a degenerate gambler. I realize now that I'm not smart enough to make my own picks.  I've been making my picks based on your suggestion and making $$$$. Your nfl/cmf lol.  I've had these bad beats befpre or what you call worst moose scenario but this is the first time I've just taken it for what it is.  Bad BS!! I'm okay though.  Thank you for providing your picks to the public. You're the man.  I just wanted to let you know I/we really appreciate it!

Fox, I am a longtime follower of Covers. I always read your material as it is always very insightful. I was also on Duke tonight with a smaller wager on the ML. When he fumbled the ball I knew we were in big trouble.  If I had the chance to make the bet 100 times I would still make the same play. Duke gave that game away. If any of us feel bad imagine how Josh Snead feels! Dukes first trip to a bowl game in over 50 years and he managed to fumble the ball with 1 minute and 20 seconds left to kill any chance for a Duke win (or even a cover for us!). Good luck with the rest of the bowl season and once again thanks for your work and the time you take to post!

12/28 Independence Bowl

$500 LA Monroe -7
Ohio is still facing a decent amount of injuries and struggles against any decent competition this year. Ohio also wants to run the ball, but this plays to the strength of the LA Monroe defense. Browning is the difference is this game. He is experienced and can make plays with his arm and running it. LA Monore being at home basically is a slight advantage, although I think the line accounts for this pretty well. Only a one unit play as I don't like to put too much money on favs of 7 or more usually. LA Monroe has the talent and athletic ability advantage as well. Ohio has the experience advantage. I still have Monroe winning by 10+ here, as I don't think Ohio will be able to match the offensive output here. Monroe wins 34-23.

Plays for the two later games will be up shortly. Max bet in one of them. BOL!

12/28 Russel Athletic Bowl

$2000 Rutgers ML (+100) **Max Bet**
This game is going to be a defensive battle early, but Rutgers will simply wear down VT. VT is very vanilla with their offensive play calling and lacks a dependable rb. As good as Logan Thomas can play, he shows he suspectible to bad decisions and inaccurate throws. Rutgers will get back to running the ball tonight and Nova can be successful off play action. Nova also has the experience of winning these Bowl games. I don't think VT will be motivated here after barely getting to be bowl eligible. This season was far below their expectation and they already played their "Super Bowl" against Fl St. Although Rutgers had somewhat of a disappointing needing to their season by failing to get the BCS bid from the Big East, they have had a very good season and will be motivated to end it with a win. This defense is full of seniors and they want to go out with a bowl win. Their physicality will be too much for VT to handle for 4 qtrs, and I expect Rutgers to win the turnover battle. Rutgers must be sound on special teams, because if you follow this VT team, they always have good special teams play. If Rutgers avoids that, they should lead VT to a slow, painful death/loss. Rutgers wins 27-13

12/28 Meineke Car Care Bowl

$1000 Minnesota +14 (-120)
Another coaching change in this game, as Texas Tech lost their their head coach before this Bowl game. I know the previous two team with coaching changes covered (San Jose St, Cincy), but if you watched those games you could easily see how the play calling and preparation was suspect at times, and hurt those teams. Plus those were two very unlucky beats at that, and % wise, normally would've been 2 losses. Minnesota should be able to run the ball against Tech today. Minnesota will find it much easier to run against this Big 12 team, than the defenses they faced in conference play( Big Ten) this year. Texas Tech is has also shown they are vulnerable to turning the ball over this year. Minnesota is pumped to be in this bowl game and the motivation factor gives them an advantage here. Tech has had a disappointing end to the season and has some suspensions and injuries going into this bowl game. This one looks a lot like the Duke game. I bought it to 14 just in case lol. Take Minny here with the two TD's. And sprinkle some on the ML if you want. Tech wins 34-30.

Announcer had an interesting piece of info. Ohio's QB has been injured and hasn't been able to throw well but was able to heal over the break.
