Steve Sarkisian is one of those coaches that given time to prepare  excels. Washington played a tough schedule this season facing 4 top 10 teams. They did beat Oregon St and Stanford but caught a well rested and healthy Arizona coming out of a bye week and got embarrassed. Tall order after facing LSU, Stanford, Oregon and USC within a  5 week span. They finished the season strong other than the 18 point blown lead at Washington State, Husky defense is improved as they are quicker and fly to the ball. Boise defense has carried them this year and they did have a softer schedule. A few things stick out...Boise only beat Fresno State by ten and they have OWNED Fresno the past 5 years. They got beat by San Diego State and only beat Nevada by 6. This clearly is not the Boise of the past who were party crashers. Their offense has undergone some changes. I also like the fact that Washington now has Boise States old Defensive Coordinator from 2009. In a  tough close game i am taking Washington to cover +5 1/2 and break Boise States grip of beating Pac 12 teams.

Washington + 5 1/2

Nice write up...but Boise has a gawdy bowl record.  I'll go with the team that is best prepared and best record in bowl games.

Don't believe me?  BYU kills SDSU as a bowl dominator when there was a lot of SDSU love in here.  Also, more love in here on Ball St.  But a look at CF, and again we see a lop sided bowl record.

I believe this is why were seeing the favorites covering so far. History can tell you a lot about a bowl team. It's just one more tool to use.  Nothing is a guarantee.... except dying and taxes.

Have a great bowl season Mr. Berserker.

AGREE  with the cooler:

Everyone talks 'bout Wash defense and they are right. HOWEVER, Wash Offence has taken a hit and they will be hard pressed to do damage in the Boise secondary. BOISE shows up at this time of year EVERY YEAR and that experience alone is worth noting. Not sold on either side right now but BOL throughout the Bowl MAnia

Nice analysis...not just what I put in bold (however the bold stuff).  Don't know if I'll play it or not.  Regardless

Great spot for Huskies. Definitely not the same Boise team we've been accustomed too. How motivated will they be? Go Huskies +6.

Like the Huskies as well.  I don't question the Broncos' motivation.  This is a regional game and Boise always gets up for Pac-12 opponents.
