This is specific to this year.
This year the teams out west are all very good. I don't think the public realizes how good some of these teams are, Utah St, Fresno, SDST, SJST, Boise, Oregon St are all excellent teams on my "bet on" list. I am not sold on ARIZ sT or OK St.
The bottom three of the SEC are horrbile, but the other 9 teams are top 23, and 6 teams are arguably all top 6. SEC football is 12 months a year, so the Bowl is the peak time of year. Other conferences are in to football 3 months a year.
The Big East is better than people think. Cuse is on a huge roll right now. Teddy Bridgewater at Lousiville is one of my favorite QBs. I am not sold on Rutgers. Pitt is now healthy and playing great football. Cinci is inconsistent, but sometimes good. These are not great teams, but they do compare favorably with the non-elite teams in the ACC, P12, B10 and B12, and the bottom of the SEC.
B10 is not good this year, and they lose two of their top teams. That means other teams play a tougher bowl. The two B10 teams I like are Wiscy and Northwestern. |

#52 Posted: 12/12/2012 11:46:20 AM Following the first five rules, I have 25 of the bowls picked. Now take the underdogs in the rest I presume? And do I flip on Wisky and Northwestern? By the way, Tulsa and ISU are pick.
Good stuff. I'm trying it out in the early games. |

Don't flip on Wisky and NW. If I St and Tulsa are pick, let;s go with Iowa St by an extension of rule 1.

Yes. Utah St is rule 1, and Nevada is rule 6.
The rules gets weaker as you go from 1 to 6, so Utah St is a very strong play while Nevada is just a very small play or a pass.
Rule 1 - 10 units Rule 2 -6 units Rule 3 - 4 units Rule 4 - 4 units Rule 5 - 2 units Rule 6 - half unit

rules 2 & 3 are "annual, traditional" standards. this year the "hybred" of that would be South Carolina -5 1/2 vs Michigan, Georgia -10 vs Nebraska and Mississippi State -2 vs Northwestern (SEC vs Big Ten schools) |

#72 Posted: 12/16/2012 11:52:16 PM georgia -10 might be my favorite bet this bowl season as of now they will absolutely destroy this garbage msu team and get revenge from last years bowl where cousins literally tore them up. maxwell has no shot georgia will win this by 30 easily as long as they are 100% recovered from the sec championship hangover |

Agreed. SJ St will have to come from behind. Very good QB. Too many pts. BG can score early, it's their game to W or lose. |
