...get patsies from the worst conference like the wounded big ten?
Lots of perspectives at work, but this angle plays out perfectly for the SEC to have a winning record up to the NC.

It's looking like an ongoing objective.
Good lord, right now on ESPNU there showing the entire SEC championship game! Zzzzzzzzzzz
ESPN plus SEC is corporate orgiastic monopolization of a game! Life gets wired when you look at it in focus. Better to be high!

Let me answer that mathematically:

Money and power and control > fans and competition and history making games

Tradiotonal Bowl matchup is B10 team going south where the weather is nice.  It is somewhat rare for a west coast team to play a bowl game in the South,

0-2 against SEC call me when Oregon plays defense and gets a field goal kicker hopefully they address these obvious issues.

Of course they stay in the south for the draw, and weather and regional teams help. Young recruits choose the SEC over playing football in the mud like Pitt and U Conn. But this is about ignoring competition for national fandome. They don't give a hootin Allie about fans or a tv audience.
SEC will have once again per season high rankings for at least 6 teams.

Clemson looked like tired fools vs so Carolina. They saw that, too. That's why they got LSU. Easy win.

SEC haters, you all look like fools.  Six straight national championships isn't enough for you idiots!  Last week with all the head-to-head matchups vs ACC when the SEC won every single game didn't faze you, did it?  Let's face it, if you want to believe in Santa Claus, you will.  If you want to believe the SEC is NOT the dominant conference in college football, you will.  THIS IS SO FUNNY!!!  Keep telling yourselves ... "THE SEC IS OVERRRATED, THE SEC IS OVERRATED, THE SEC IS OVERRATED!"  Maybe it will come true.   :)

LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SEC teams are matched up with teams that finished higher in their conferences across the board.

The better question is how do Kansas State and Oregon avoid SEC opponents???

I'll readily admit that the SEC is the best conference but, this continues to smell as if they want to ensure there is no chance for a bowl loss by one of their major tams. I mean really, it would put to bed all these conversations if they just gave the fans the games they want to see, like Oregon vs SEC and K. St vs SEC.

It resembles two years ago when the BCS matched up Boise and TCU. They had already played during that season - what did that possibly serve other than ensuring an SEC team was not upset?

This is the same thing. Maybe Oregon would get crushed by Florida's defense and maybe LSU would kill K. St but, it honestly seems like the SEC is scared to find out. What other possible explanation is there? These other top conference teams are dying to prove themselves so I find it hard to believe that it is Oregon saying "oh, please give me a Big 12 team and not an SEC team" I mean, Christ, they lost by TWO whole points to the greatest college player we have seen in at least a dozen years. He was so good, that the program he left won 2 games this year. And that was an SEC program.

Again, I readily admit, the SEC is the best but, there is not that much of a gap and it seems like the SEC is trying pretty hard to ensure that never gets proven. They will clean sweep the Big 10 again and LSU and Florida will kill Clemson and Louisville but, what does that prove? Nothing we didn't already know. None of those teams are elite or have elite talent. When will the SEC teams face the true elite teams from other conferences? Maybe they just wait till all the threats are gone - Kellen Moore, Chip Kelly, Klein, etc.

Really, as a fan of football, it is just disappointing. Feels like Boise - TCU all over again.

When was the last time Oregon beat an SEC team?

K State? They can't play defense.

"but this angle plays out perfectly for the SEC to have a winning record up to the NC."

If the SEC is good enough to win the big one then what's that saying about why they are there?

Forget Oregon ! Forget them. As soon as they get in a football game that isn't downhill skiing they fold. They can't comprehend  with see-sawing battles and tough teams they may have to from behind on to win.

Florida may be the most overrated team in college football.

Oregon's dream matchup was against Florida.

the kicker didn't lose the game, apparently you don't watch college football passed your bedtime.

deanthony thomas missed a block on the first offensive play of the game.

call me when your tigers play defense rather than let A.J. run down your team and screw you out of a victory.

Sad things is it's the same bunch of clowns who would be screaming if Florida was matched up against Oregon in the Fiesta Bowl- I can hear it now: "Florida doesn't deserve to be in that game- why didn't they put Oregon vs Kansas St"- The SEC gets bashed for low scoring games and you haters howl about that- now we get a match up (Oregon vs K-st.) that will probably end 53-49 and the haters are crying about that. Sad how these clowns think its one big conspiracy theory. As soon as other conferences start winning championships then the tide will turn. It is always about what have you done for me lately. And lately the SEC has won championships. Get over it already.

And while you are at it- let's hear about the conspiracy theory where Tressell and his players were set up by a tattoo artist who secretly loved the SEC!!! Knowing years down the line that Tressell would be fired and Urban would take over a team on probation and go undefeated!!! Well played Mr. Tattoo man, Well played!!!
