crazy line, about 4 pts too high, ND defense is too good to not think they most likely keep it within DD,

since BAMA still has a game to play, key guys like their QB mccarron or others could get hurt, then your ND +11.5 looks even better,

LOAD UP NOW!!!

Love that line, but I don't think that's who ND will be playing.

Bama is good but their O won't do much against ND,

ND +11.5 is simply a wrong line,

so glad a poster her mentioned it because i jumped on it like a hot little blonde

Public perception is everything is sports betting. Whole world thinks bama is unstoppable. In many peoples mind Bama has already punched their ticket to Miami. I am really torn on SEC championship. Already took UGA think game will be close regardless I can't for the life of me make heads or tails of who will actually win.

Already took Irish SU on Bama line. Gridiron. Basically, I am praying Bama wins and doesn't cover against UGA.

Blood, public perception is a myth my brother.  The books are not scared of the masses, they are scared of the sharps who bet the biggest amount of money,

Bama deserves to be a 7 pt favorite because they have the better overall talent on the field (even though Ga has some studs on D) and the edge in coaching,

i think Bama will win a close one because i trust Mccarron in big moments over Murray

i agree, i am waiting to load up on ND at anything above 10 against Alabama..... people think Alabama is all that..... I think Notre Dame wins outright and is the 2012 National Champs

If you like Notre Dame, I would wait.  If they play Alabama, they line will probably be around 13.5 - 14 at kickoff.

i disagree,  i think Ga will play Bama toe to toe and lose a close one, i think the Ga D will give Bama O fits, but Bama pulls it out,

i think the final Bama-ND line (if Bama even beats Ga), will settle at less than 10

just my opinion Jimmy

Both teams will beat ND by double digits. Bama would treat Goulston the same way they Shoelace. Same picture different villans

Here is another myth, Saban is a GREAT recuiter but he's not all that great as a gameday coach.

I think you guys may be a little ahead of yourselfs here. Bama may struggle a bit against ND's defense but how is ND gonna move the ball vs bama?? I've watched a lot of both teams this year, especially ND and their offense is going to struggle quite a bit imo. I think their defense is superb, no doubt. But nobody here is addressing the issue of ND offense vs bama defense.

bunny, i disagree wholeheartedly.  is he the greatest gameday coach in the game right now?  probably not, but he is damn good on gameday adjustments.

his PRE-game prep the week of a game and leading up to a bowl game, is SECOND TO NONE in college football right now

Saban is a superior coach to Richt in PRE-game prep and on gameday,

no question in my mind

If you watched the Texas A&M game then there is no way you can make this statement. Bama made a couple of very nice adjustments after the first quarter and basically controlled the game after that except for a couple of bad turnovers.

I just don't get the Goergia love. They played 2 teams with a pulse. THey got beat 35-7 and got the other team on their worst day. They are playing a game that is the biggest in their coaches career and arguably the biggest game in their school's history. Bama's team has played in several games like this one over the last 4-5 years. This is a high pressure game and I will side with the coach and team that has been there before. Georgia has the ability to win as far as talent but not sure if they really believe they can win.

6 new defensive starters lost to the most dual threat dynamic qb in college football who is going to win the heisman,

they had an off day and johnny football had some heisman moments,

no one had an answer all year for johnny football, except florida who got him early on and lsu who has a great D but was middle of the season.

take a look at what johnny football did after the LSU gm after he faced some real adversity, he took his game to a new level,

his performance against bama was so great that right after the game his name entered the heisman race

If Richt makes it to the national championship game, it is highly likely he will find a way to lose to Notre Dame.

TALENT IS ABOUT EVEN.  IN MY VIEW THIS GAME COMES DOWN TO COACHING AND EXECUTION.  EDGE BAMA.

I know the books aren't concerned about public bettors.  However, I think this line still invites a lot of public money on Bama. Most average folks threads I am reading and people I talk to think Bama is unstoppable, unbeatable even after being beaten. Point being I would rather be on the opposite side of the public, which appears many of us may be as the line has already dropped a point.

This is just too funny. You guys are serious about a ND ML???? Suck me sideways that's funny.

Bama lost to LSU last year and then destroyed them in the ship. I always HATE comparing old teams to this years teams. They are 2 different teams. But I will do it because gridiron guy has a mega boner over this.

Notre Dame is actually overrated. They beat an Oklahoma team who lost in Norman twice. Oklahoma was 36-1 at Norman before this year dating back to 2006. Clearly this year's Ok was not what we all thought it was. They also eeked out an OT win vs Ok St at home. 3 potential loses in Norman after only losing 1 in the previous 6 years.

And dont give me the line that they played Stanford and won, and Stanford beat the Ducks. Well, does anyone remember when the Ducks lost last year to USC - AT HOME!!! The Ducks lose the one big one. And that game was on the road.

USC had a completely joke of a defense. They held down ND and wouldnt let them do a much. Just a lot of FGs. Alabama, in their previous championship game let LSU on Alabama's side of the field only once! And anyway, if Barkley starts this game the Trojans would have won. Yes a prediction, but no question he would have done loads better than the RS Frosh.

I could go on and on about how Alabama is a proven football team and that there are glaring weaknesses in ND that Nick Saban is going to exploit more than a 12 year old in child pornography.

But yet again, this is all theoretical. Bama plays a very tough Georgia, but I think Bama wins. And if Georgia plays ND, I will give the same advice - pound Georgia. That line will be even lower and even easier than Bama to cover. But nonetheless, Bama should rip and tear ND a new one. And it is going to be so fun to watch the Irish whimper away and realize there charades are no longer working.

Ryno, i dont think anyone can disagree with you that Bama should beat ND, i would not dream of taking ND ML unless we all heard that McCarron was out and we could jump on the ML before the books took it down.  fat chance of that happening.

so while I agree that ND ML is not a good play, you have to admit that taking an Irish D that is this stout and showing athleticism at all positions, is value with 11.5 pts against Bama that has huge injuries at WR and cannot extend the field.

that is of course, if Bama even beats Georgia.

Bama-ND, if it happens, has the look of a major battle in the trenches and ND can also stop a passing attack.  No one shut down OU the way ND did in their own house.  OU has a veteran QB and some weapons, look how many pts they scored on everyone except ND and K-State.  unlike Kanss State, ND did not need turnovers to dominate
