Florida Gators should be in the National Championship Game

I have no favourite team, no bias what so ever. I understand a lot of people think they're  not that good, their offense sucks, etc. but you can't ignore what they've done this year. They've beat 6 teams that are or have been ranked at some point this season. Thye consistently shut down offenses that put up ridiculous numbers against other teams. They have played, in my opinion, the toughest schedule in the country this year. This team is risiliant, they are a hard nose defensive team, and they're doing this mediocre (at best) QB play. I honestly don't care if they barely beat some bad teams, the bottom line is they got the win. it doesn't matter if you win by 1 or 100, a win is a win.

Let's here some opinions/comments regarding this matter. I really do believe that Florida deserves to play for the title.

I was arguing this fact in another thread but I am an idiot and UF is 3rd or 4th best in the conference.

UF and LSU get screwed on the SEC scheduling while Bama and UGA get the creampuffs.

If USC beats Norte Dame, no question one spot should be guaranteed to them, even if georgia wins the sec

This sport is a joke. Why do half the teams play? So if nd goes undefeated they should be left out? God I love coll bball. It's fair at least

Notre dame wins every game by a fg, so I agreeing with you there. FL def has an argument, but they lost to Georgia, and with the way it's set up, they don't get another chance..... But Georgia and Bama do.

bowling green la lafayette jacksonville state , yeah actually in college football is do matter how much u win by ,  if u barely win games against weak teams that does hurt u,  the only way the gators get to the national tittle game is a notre dame loss and ucla must lose ,  if ucla wins and oregon gets the extra game they will go ahead of florida if they win

if florida gets to the national championship game that will be a joke.  of course college football is already a joke with the way they do the postseason.  florida can't even get to their conference championship game but should play in the national championship game but )probably) georgia gets punished for winning the sec east and losing to alabama?  how does that make sense?

florida isn't ahead of oregon by much in bcs, if oregon gets extra game and wins they go ahead of florida no doubt about it,   noboyd wants a rematch of sec anyways oregon usc is what everybody wants

Florida has been struggling to score the entire season vs. SEC and lower competition.

Sure, they put up some points today, against a notoriously weak ACC team where the Over Unders are in the 70s, but when Florida plays, it's really boring to me.

I've got USC plus the points tonight, but I hope Notre Dame wins. I hate SEC snoozefests, especially in a championship game.

Let's say Stanford wins tonight in UCLA (although I don't think they will).

Should a team that didn't even PLAY in it's conference championship play in the title game?

Probably, but doesn't seem right.

Alabama, IMO, is the best team in the country with the ebst head coach, but what have they done to deserve a spot in the game? Beast up on horrible teams? I like the Crimson Tide, and before today thought they should be in there, but yet another impressive win by these Gators makes me question that very though. Florida has done more this season than any other team in College Football, how can anyone even have the nerve to deny this. Their schedule and record tell the story. Their 1 loss was by 1 score to a top 5 ranked opponent on the tail end of a brutal scheduling spot. They played LSU, South Carolina, Missouri, then Georgia. That 4 game span was harder than anyone other teams full schedule by far.

Unfortunately they lost to Georgia and under the current circumstances, that's the end of the road. A team which isn't even playing for their conference championship can't be considered for the national championship.

Oregon is not getting in unless voters conspire to vote against Florida.

That's what everyone said when they played Tennessee. That's what everyone said when they played LSU. That's what everyone said when they played South Carolina. That's what everyone said when they played Florida State.

Florida has the best credentials of any team in the top 4.

If you look at their overall body of work they should hands down be in the big game.

As Getty3 said though....the loss to Georgia ended any of that possibility.
