Rutgers has to be looking ahead to Louisville next week. If they beat Lousiville, they win the Big East, and it doesn't matter if they lose to Pitt (unless Lousville loses to Conn at home)
Pitt needs to win its last 2 games to become bowl eligible.
The line is begging you to take Rutgers.

Rutgers top back is queationable so I will hold back for now. Other than that I just dont buy the looking ahead and Big 10 excuses. If anything the news this week should make them perform even better.Pitt is not explosive like Kent was...

been riding "Gers" all season esp when they are a dog. I expected them to be a slight fav this week as flaky as Pitt has been. "Gers" 5-0 on the road with 3 of those straight up wins as the dog. Pitt's only decent game this year was the scare they gave ND but THEN they turn around and LOSE to U Conn.

This game will NOT be taken lightly. If you just can't pull the trigger, take the under I suppose, but beware of Rutgers defense getting some picks off Sunseri (like they did last year, with an inferior team and a better Pitt team, and still winning by 24). Scarlet Knights are the pick for me, all day. BOL

This line is DEFINITELY begging you to take Rutgers, as Thorpe mentioned. Flat out that's the only reason, needs to offset the Pitt action so make Rutgers a dog.

the uconn game was an obvious letdown and fade spot for Pitt a week after losing the heartbreaker to Ndame. I think they get up big for this one and win no doubt. they need the last 2 games to qualify for a bowl and they always play their best at home in early games.

Not to slam anyone's plays, but the "they will get up for this game" always fascinates me as reasoning. These are all 19-22 year old kids. You think Nava and the Rutgers defense are in the hotel tonight thinking, "man, I'm not really up for this game."?? I do not. These kids want to win, and they STILL feel like no one respects them. After they lost to Kent State (which now doesn't look so bad), I really believed they tightened up. Yes, Pitt will play hard. Unfortunately, their "playing hard" will equal that of a 4-win team...which by the way, they are. The line was set this way to have the book actually have players put money on Pitt. Over analyze at your own risk, gentelmen.
