#1 Posted: 11/18/2012 10:02:17 AM Sides 57 - 61
Totals 36 - 22
Overall 93 - 83
13 - 6 this past week. College football is such a crazy game and I think that's why we all love it so much. Again this past week the college football world was flipped upside down. All I can say is get ready for a wild finish. Why? Cause if you think this chaos is over, it's only getting started. Let's get ready for a wild finish men, the top ten is next!
Ten Things We Learned
1. Kansas st you had your chance. You had it right in front of you and you let it slip away. Guess what men? Kansas st is out now IMO. There is no way this group should be considered for a NC. As most of you know I thought Kansas st would slip up at some point. I have betting against them for weeks now. But I will say this, it doesn't change how I feel about Bill Snyder. I still think
this guy is the greatest coach the game has ever seen. Most of you guys
think I have an agenda against certain schools, I dont. As I have
always said, I call as I see it. Kansas st was the only team left that had to run the table to get in. Why? Because they were Kansas st, and the Bias media didn't want a team from Manhattan Kansas in anyways. The truth is, there one loss is bigger then any other teams one loss. Sorry Cats fans, your out!
2. Oregon you are up next! Now this is a team that is also out IMO unless teams around them collapse. Why? Because not only did they lose, they didn't even win the division and now they cant play in the Pac 12Championship game ( unless Stanford loses to UCLA, which I guess is possible ). Don't tell SEC nation that winning the division is important, ask Alabama. To be honest with you this was the bigger meltdown then Kansas st was. Why? These guys were at home and with the strength of there schedule down the stretch they were almost a lock to be in the big game. There is nobody to blame here people! If you wanted Kansas st or Oregon in all they simply had to do was win. Now! A lot of pissing and moaning will start. Sorry men, but those are the facts.
3. There is no way I could not have a top 10 and not mention what happen in west point yesterday. Montel Harris the former BC RB ran for, get this..... 357 yds and 7 TD's! Are you kidding me? Who in the hell in the modern day era can do garbage like that? What was Army doing? Well, it is Army and they are terrible. But my goodness. I tell ya college football is wild these days, yesterday Marshall almost blew a 4 TD lead in the 2nd half! But you know what was the most amazing thing? Florida actually scored a whole 23 points! I know I know, they thought the scoreboard was gonna break down there in Gainsville.
4. I would like to congratulate the SEC and there Southern conference domination tour yesterday. Beating up on teams like that really is good for the college game. I have noticed for the last few years that they schedule these teams right before rivalry week. Why? Im not sure but I guess they would tell you it's because of the brutal schedule they play. One thing is for sure tho, This week coming up they get there fools handed to them on a silver platter by Clemson and FSU. Write it down. These two games will be my largest wagers of my lifetime coming up this week. Yeah....
5. Im sorry but maybe Sparty Bense can help us out here. What the hell is going on in East Lansing? Maxwell is creaping up the list of worst QB's in America. How bad you say? Tino Sunseri bad, yeah that bad. This team is full of talent and I just cant understand why they are just flat out bad. Now I want to give Northwestern credit here because I think that's a good football team but dont mistake the two. Michigan st talent is overwhelmingly better then Northwestern is. The question is will Sparty go to a bowl game? Better win this week or it's over! |

#2 Posted: 11/18/2012 10:03:20 AM 6. I not sure which I like watching more, USC lose or watch Lane Kiffen look like the stupid girl he is. USC is without a doubt the 2nd biggest disappointment in the country this year behind only to Arkansas.
How did that come back tour work out for ya Matt Barkley? You still
think you are NFL talent? I dont. As a matter of fact, I think this guy is not even among the top 5 QB's coming out. But I will ask one last favor from you. Beat N.D. Why? I
love the chaos. Then we will have a behind load of teams at the top with
one loss. BTW if you guys didnt already know. Notre Dame will play for
the N.C game if they win this week, no question about it.
7. Did anyone person see W.V being at 5-5 at this point and losing 5 straight? Not me. Talk about a collapse. What the hell is going on in Morgantown? I've noticed that you dont see many people in this forum who are W.V fans. Is it because most of them cant read or write? Im just kidding guys, dont give me a hard time, it was just a joke. But seriously, 5 straight losses! All I can say is welcome to the Big 12. The good news is they play Iowa st and Kansas in there final two games, so maybe they can at least go 6-6 and make a bowl game. Sorry for the bad year mullet man.
8. Talk about a offensive explosion yesterday in Clemson! My goodness that was crazy. Clemson scores 62 points and could have scored more if they needed to. And yes if most of you didnt notice I did bet on NCST yesterday. Im 8-0 on Clemson games this year and haven't missed many overall in the past few years. This team IMO is the 2nd best offense in the country only behind Oregon and to be honest you can make a damn good argument that they might be the best. How are you gonna stop all the weapons? Watkins and Hopkins are the best combo receivers that maybe I have ever seen. When Boyd is feeling it, this offense can name the number of points. This week coming up, they wont let up either. If Clemson gets the opportunity to embarrass the gamecocks they will do it. Tension is very high around this area and it's gonna be hostile this week. Death Valley Saturday night is gonna be rocking.
9. I think what happened in Nashville last night sealed the deal for Dooley. If there was any hope that he would get another shot next year, it went up into flames with that blowout loss to Vandy. And let's give Vandy some credit here. What James Franklin is doing is remarkable. To win at Vandy is like Florida trying to score more then 24 points a game. It's almost damn near impossible. But as I say all the time, coaching means everything. The question is will he stay at Vandy? To answer that real quickly....No, sorry Vandy fans. This is called a " stepping stone ".
10. This is my favorite week of the college football year. I love this week for several reasons and football is just one of the few. I love Thanksgiving. I love being with my family and spending time together. I dont know what most of you do for Thanksgiving but make sure you take the time to spend with the people that mean the most to you. Family is and will always be the heartbeat of America. If you dont take the time to love and spend time with your family then nothing else matters, IMO. Go shake a veterans hand and tell him you appreciate him and the sacrfice to this wonderful country. Hug your brother and sister and tell them you love them. Sit down at the table and spend a few hours with your mom and let her know how much she means to ya. Life is precious guys, this week we should all give thanks and show the love that everyone deserves. Have a wonderful week and remember, The Best is Yet To Come.

#7 Posted: 11/18/2012 10:34:01 AM Good work this week. Had my worst weekend of the year , personally. Most people believe Notre Dame gets beat this week. We'll see how the Barkley injury situation pans out. Unless Alabama loses, we're in store for a classic title matchup between the Fighting Irish and Crimson Tide.
Clemson's offense looks good in reactive situations, especially when they're being forced to score. Let's see how they fare against a real defense. Should be a hell of a game in Clemson this week.
Florida and FSU are out of the title hunt regardless of what happens next Saturday.
For the sake of good football, let's hope Oregon has a chance to sneak back into the title game picture.
Leaving Georgia out of your top 10 is ignorant at best. You're letting your previous arguments against Georgia stubbornly block them from the respect they deserve in my opinion. Say what you want about their schedule, but at least it's been more impressive than what the two ACC teams have accomplished. God for bid we go down that road with you though.....
Either way, good luck this week.

this is where people I say I attack... but listen to what you just said an how you disrespected me.... Look Georgia is garbage... I wouldn't be surprised to see the struggle with GT. What has Georgia done? If your answer is more then what FSU and Clemson has done, well...then you statement will be ignorant at best

#13 Posted: 11/18/2012 11:12:09 AM Boom, in 2 of the last three weeks I believe, I asked here what your thoughts were about N.D. being in the NCG because of the very high ratings it would have via TV, the money brought in as N.D. fans(probably the top, or near the top following in college football) would travel to hell to see "their" team play, and more, more money everywhere....I thought ND would make it, but doubted a win at USC.....NO MORE----IT'S THE IRISH VERSUS BAMA, AND YOU CAN'T NAME A BETTER MATCHUP---POWERFUL SEC VERSUS ND.....AND ND WINS...DOUBT IT?.....LOOK AT LAST NIGHT!

Wouldn't you say we were all saying the same thing about Oregon? Then Stanford(a really good aggressive defense) holds them to 14 points. If you get a good scheme and a fast aggressive defense, Clemson will be held in check. Not sure they will play anybody like that this year, but teams like Bama, Stanford and LSU D would be able to hold them in check imo.
Anyway, good week last week and I am sure that game in Clemson will be crazy. Enjoy that!

#16 Posted: 11/18/2012 11:24:33 AM Great work, Boom, as always. A playoff cannot come soon enough but, for now, if Bama & the Irish win out, they have to be in the final game.
Also, btw, did I not say in September the Bruins were for real this year? Coach Mora has done a fantastic job with this group, probably only behind Coaches Snyder and Kelly for coach of the year, IMO. I would take a look at the Stanford/UCLA game next week - this win by the Cardinal was huge, but they are ripe for an emotional letdown and, while the Bruins' win was also huge - they are riding a wave, so to speak, playing better football each week. Bruins have a good chance to upset the Cardinal next week ...

I think we could see an LSU Bama rematch. I believe Fl St beats Florida this weekend. If Notre Dame loses to USC and Bama beats Ga then there you go. I know its a lot of ifs but you never know.
This would really bring the haters out.

im just not so sure about clemson, yes they are one of the top 5 offenses in the country, but they better be, just because their lack of defense is just attrocious... so u need to out score opponents to win.... what happen when opponents stop you... ... FSU might win over florida....but im not so sure clemson will win to SoCar

Wasn't meant to be disrespectful and I sure as hell didn't feel "attacked" in return. I just feel you're holding on to your ACC/SEC stance too tightly. Hey it's your top 10, rank them how you will. As far as Georgia's accomplishments go, I say they've been more impressive to the eye than Clemson or FSU, but agree to disagree on that. Conveniently, the timing couldn't be better for spirited debates like these...we'll get to see it all settled on the field over the next few weeks.
That being said, I like the Tigers by at least a touchdown this coming weekend. Perfect spot for them. 34-20 seems about right.
