#1 Posted: 11/14/2012 6:00:33 PM Every two years this is my biggest play and it has never disappointed.
Every time Ole Miss has either won SU or almost won SU and they ALWAYS cover.
In their last 8 games in Baton Rouge Ole Miss is not only 8-0 ATS, but they cover by an average of about 20 points per game. It’s never even close.
I would like to type a long write up like I did two years ago (I’ll post a link to it at the bottom), but I just don’t have the time this year.
The play:
Ole Miss +20
Best of luck

#13 Posted: 11/15/2012 4:20:51 PM This was my game of the year back in 1997 (Ole Miss won 36-21 as +16 dogs.) . I didn't realize it had won every time since then as well. |

Should be. Yet it never is.
In 2005 LSU beat Ole Miss 40-7 in Oxford and LSU SHOULD HAVE easily slaughtered Ole Miss again the next year in Baton Rouge. IIRC, they are about a 28 point favorite.
Result: LSU beat Ole Miss 23-20 in overtime.
In 2007 LSU beat Ole Miss 41-24 in Oxford and LSU SHOULD HAVE beat Ole Miss again the next year in Baton Rouge.
Result: Ole Miss won SU 31-13.

Yup, LSU tends to do poorly covering as a double digit home favorite in SEC games while Ole Miss tends to do well covering as a double digit road dog in SEC games. |

I hope you are right! The Rebs will battle hard no doubt but all the injuries scare me. They will be down to about 50 healthy players, mostly freshmen. Looks like a David vs Goliath deal to me, but maybe they can keep it close.

#19 Posted: 11/16/2012 1:22:37 PM Ole Miss seems to have a history or knocking off big favs late in the season. They usually do not have a lot to play for and they usually play way over their heads in these contests. They don't call it gambling for no reason, but this has the makings of a sneaky good play |

#20 Posted: 11/16/2012 1:47:54 PM This too, was my fave bet of the week and one I look forward to. But, after talking to my friends in Oxford who follow the Rebs closely, say that Ole Miss is indeed very banged up, and Bo Wallace hasn't practiced all week.
I still think there is value in the Rebs but am going to bet considerably less.
So, I need a new 5Star, any suggestions?? |

#23 Posted: 11/16/2012 3:01:49 PM what times the game being played... if its a day game, ole miss has a chance to cover... if the game is being played at night, prime-time, under the lights, LSU gets pumped for those type of games...
